Few questions. I am receiving my Swift springs tomorrow, regarding the install, do I need to cut any bit of the bump stoppers? In addition, since my springs are getting here sooner than expected, I didn't have time to purchase my strut spreader tool. Anyone know if any local stores carry it? Or another method of going about that?

Thanks!

Actually just confirmed with Swift springs directly, we do not have to cut any part of the bump stopper. Wanted to confirm because another member on this site was saying we needed to.

As for the strut spreader, I got one made specifically for Hondas...but never used it...IMO its not needed. Also, don't pop out that bottom bolt like most have done in the past. Spoon shows how they installed springs and it's much easier IMO.

If you decide you really want that spreader, here it is:

Espelir Seems like a better drop to me and the spring rate is fine. .6 to .8 inch drop with about the same factory spring rate

Here's pics I found of the drop

@02silver Are you still on your Eibachs? You have my taste, as I also don't want to rub and but like the minimal yet tiny drop

Lastly I know a lot of Swift owners are beating around the bush on this one ...but what's the real deal? are you guys scrapping on every driveway/speedbump?!?

Tomorrow I'll post some common gradient driveways and also several speedbump that are common and you can tell me if you clear them on not. I'm sticking to stock setup until I buy aftermarket 18'' wheels.

Iā€™m on Swiftā€™s and I havenā€™t rub yet, but then again Iā€™ve been driving cars thatā€™s lowered for years so I know how to avoid / angle them.

The CTR looks amazing with Swift springs. Swift is definitely the way to go. All the other brand springs seem to offer a minimal drop that is hardly noticeable. The only thing I dislike about the eibach is the rear sits noticeably lower than the front.

I've been searching around and having found a great review for springs from this perspective: My R will be daily driven and see normal/family driving conditions for a vast majority of it's driving. I LOVE how the stock suspension feels/rides across comfort/sport/R+, but want a slight drop for when I replace the wheels. From what I can find either Eibach or Spoon will be the closest to stock with a slight drop (.8"), but I'm worried about it getting bumpy feeling or getting clunks and the like.

So my question is, just how close to stock feeling are these springs? I'm basically hoping you can not tell or barely tell that anything has changed, other than the visible drop. I wish I could find someone local with them installed but there are barely any CTRs around here as is, let alone modded ones.
