So my coolant line was rubbing but I did a quick fix that’s super easy...
First I adjusted the bottom rubber insert bracket then I pushed the coolant line down and zip tied it (not hard) below a bracket to hold it in place
Pictures show the fix

I received my replacement box today. It does clear the coolant hose by at least 1/4", maybe 3/8". My previous mod with the foam tape did not last long, as it was smashed down. Part of the coolant hose that I did not cover with foam tape started to have a rub mark. Additionally this time, I even did the suggested mod with the zip tie similar to above to give me at least 1/2" clearance. Below is before the zip tie mod.

Sorry to hear that you're still having issues with the airbox rubbing, and we completely understand the frustration!



Sorry for the delay getting back to you on that, I'll shoot you a PM in a few minutes!



There might be slight manufacturing differences from box to box, but we haven't changed the design or the size of the box at all. We can ship out a replacement airboxes (in your case a second box) but we can't guarantee 100% that it will solve the issue.

I really hope they help you out bro! I cancelled all orders and will not be buying anything else from mishimoto! Same shit happened to me...Nic forgot to respond..my money wasn't good for them...they forget that customers pay their salaries!

you should give them a call, best and fastest way to get the response you are looking for. I wasn't put on hold or anything, and someone answered phone right away. I ordered my intake and catch can a month ago, and gave them a call last week to get an update. I was told that the intakes just came in stock and that the catch cans were still back ordered. I requested if the intake can be sent first and the person who answered the phone was really helpful and had my order sent to the their shipping team. Only bad thing was that due to due to the volume of shipments going out he said it would take a few weeks before it arrived, which I'm cool with. Phone rep never forced or begged me to keep the order, and I'm pretty understanding that they can't just stock 10,000 units of each sku for a niche car and hope for it to sell out.

Received my replacement box from Mishimoto last week and installed it over the weekend. Fitment was no different than the original box so I loosened the clamp on the intercooler hose and rotated it giving the box about 1/4" - 1/2" of clearance. Then I trimmed the coolant line about 1/2" to take up some of the slack and give it about 1/8" clearance to the side of the box. I thought that would be enough but after running the car and the hose expanding from getting up to temp, it still brushed the intake box enough to be annoying. Last night I did the zip tie mod mentioned a few posts back and now there is about 3/8" clearance when the engine is cold and about 1/4" clearance after the engine has run for about an hour or so. Hopefully this is the last time I have to mess with it until the time comes to clean and re-oil the filter. Pics of final setup below (pics were all taken after engine ran for 1 hour+ so heat expansion is accounted for):
