thank you ... I will be more mindful of leaving earlier in the winter to ensure the temps get up to par - it was around 0 degrees for 2 weeks last winter, almost felt bad for the car.

Are the 1.5T Civic Hatch's in the US safe?

Figures I drop 22K on a Honda because of their good ole' reliability ... absolutely livid over this BS.

I mostly do short trips, but recently did a 1 hour drive. Today I checked my dipstick and the level was down slightly. Glad it went down because it was reading too high.

Did anyone have these alerts?

Because of the mixing oil with fuel?

No. It's an electric issue. This is what the author says in the comments: "i disconnected my battery then unplugged the ecu, let it sit for 5 minutes then plugged everything back in, hasn't done it since".

Would extended trips essentially "burn off" the fuel dilution/rememdy potential issues? I don't idle more than 30 seconds to start and only hit the highway once the temp gauge starts to rise ... I'm assuming this allows everything to get hot enough to burn off most of the dilution?

Also plan on doing full synthetic changes every 6 months
Before driving, it is recommended to heat the engine without pressing the gas pedal for at least five minutes especially in turbo engines. Even at the end of the trip, it is recommended to wait a few minutes for the engine to work on 600 columns before turning off. According to the manufacturer's instructions (Israel) treatment every 15,000 thousand miles or a year - or the warning that oil is on the dashboard. Then they are supposed to reach the garage within 3,000 kilometers for replacement of oil and filter, regardless of treatment for a year.

Whoa there, simma don na! No need to be "livid" over something that hasn't even affected us yet. Save that furious anger for someone who opposes your political views, lol.

Motortrend just posted an article about this. Honda says they will be issuing a fix for this come mid november and will be outfitting all 2019 not yet sold as well. Didn't mention what the fix was, but they have come up with something.

Very odd that this issue seems to only be reserved to the CRV 1.5T and haven't really heard anything in regards to the Civic or Accord 1.5T having the same issues, and pretty sure the Accord 1.5T is an almost exact copy over of the CRV, same turbo etc.

I'm thinking that Honda is addressing the CRVs first b/c it's currently their bread winner, and they need to maintain this revenue stream to make up for the decline in sedan sales. They'll address the L15B7s in the Accords and Civics later on. On top of this, Honda is still trying to get those older Hondas with the Takata airbags into the dealerships to perform the replacement work. This recall has been costly for Honda, so the idea of yet another one is going to consume even more money from Honda's bottom line.

That's certainly a logical train of thought, but does it have any basis in documented reality? What makes you think the CRV is the "breadwinner" compared to the Civic?

Sales figured for the past 10 years look pretty close to me.

There are multiple members here paying for oil analysis to track the quality of their oil for various reasons.
