Seems like there is definitely some interest in wanting a catted version offered. I for one am with that majority. I’d buy the catted version. But if they cannot do it for whatever reason I guess I’ll be stuck with catless, or stick with Prl catted downpipe. Both great brands.
just curious why you want catted instead of catless. I'm undecided and i want to order soon

Depends on your inspection laws. I personally don’t have an emissions inspection where I live so I went with the non catted version. No cat always is going to be a little louder with a better flow, less restriction.

Maybe a little smell at first but it went away pretty quickly. Maybe a little rasp right off the bat too, but barely noticeable, could also have been because of the stage 2 ktuner tune I had on there at the same time. I absolutely love it now though, nice crackles and pops and you can really hear and feel the turbo spool up a lot more. I’m prob going to get the frontpipe too, I’m just waiting to see what turbo kit I’m going with as some of the options require different downpipes.

So you wouldn't recommend catted over this?

so the smell went away afterwards? as well as the rasp? that sounds good if that's the case. I'm 35 years old and i'm not into all this racer boy thing lol. I wouldn't have minded it 10 years ago lol

Haha I hear that completely, I’m 34 man so same boat! We still gotta rep for the older school Honda boys. I didn’t want to go loud with mine either, so this option works well. I’m planning on keeping the from the FP back stock since there’s no real performance advantage, you’re pretty much paying for sound at that point. Good thing is it’ll prob stay pretty tame as far as loudness goes if you go that route.

So yeah if you can make it past the inspection definitely go with the non catted version.

yeah i guess since i still have my stock resonator and stock mufflers shouldn't be too bad. i really want to squeeze the most performance out of it as i can

Honestly this and the tune are prob the easiest way to accomplish that.

I want a catted down pipe for two reasons he cattle’s down pipe with the stock exhaust sounds like crap and raspy with out a cat and second is I don’t feel like dealing with the issues of removing the downpipe when it comes time to smog the car later down the line ;)

I'm about to pull the trigger on a downpipe, gong catless but not sure whether to go RV6 or 27won,

My main concern is the smell, how bearable is it with the windows down? 27won states theirs have little to no smell going catless

How's RV6 catless?.

(trying to avoid going catted due to price and I want to be loud)

The smell will be there, regardless of the brand, when going catless. If you're moving, it's barely noticeable. If you're idling in traffic, you'll definitely smell it.

All catless downpipes will smell the same. You can't tell while moving. However if you are stopped and the wind is blowing the right way you will smell it.
