Some engines (big one) you can suck the oil out through the dip-stick hole -- ie a Marine Chevy V8, but on the two Civic engines I tried, the same plastic sucking tube was too big a diameter to reach all the way down to the oil. (Might have worked with a smaller diameter tube, + the oil being warm)
Maybe I'll make a video one day showing how quick and easy it is to suck out the oil through the dipstick tube. Just two things are needed - a larger syringe and a piece of plastic tubing just the right size to fit inside the dipstick hole and to fit tightly over the syringe's Luer taper tip.

I already have an oil change pump unit (for marine engine use), but the tube was too big to fit all the way down into the Civic's dip-stick hole.
I need to get a smaller diameter tube extension.

If you do mainly short trips, it's hard on engines and could be considered "harsh operating conditions". Meaning you need to shorten your oil change interval.

I don't know what to do at this point. I want to keep this car, but need to find a way to manage this. I asked the tech about taking oil out through the dipstick hole, he didn't know how. Could barely understand him because of the heavy accent. He pointed to the turbo and said that's why it's overfilled. It clearly says in the manual overfilling can cause engine damage. All they said was to file a complaint with Honda.
Be very skeptical about the dealer telling you that they've only had two complaints about this. They're probably lying. When I brought my car in for a new AC compressor they told me it wasn't a common issue and I know for a fact it is. They're told not to admit to these things. If they admit it's a common issue they cause a problem for the dealer. If you can DIY an oil change I would drain the oil myself and then carefully measure how much comes out. Then you'll know for certain what's going on. I'm not convinced that your oil is as overfilled as you think, but I could be wrong.

I just changed my wife'sCivic 1.5T oil and noticed it was very thin. Then today went to change my oil in my Civic 1.5T and the oil level was raised. Like I specifically put it right on the money and double checked it 5 days after. Still right on the money. But now its 1/2 inch fuller on the dip stick 6 months later.. lol You guys.. Who's adding oil to my car? Was it you?

Or

Could it possibly be the 1.5T CRV gas in the oil issue?
