Looking to upgrade my wheel and tire setup and wondering if you gurus can help me out! I have a Hatchback Sport dropped on Sportline springs. Looking to run 17x9 wheels with maybe 255/40/17 tires, would this rub? Thanks!

This is what I'm looking for also buy haven't found anyone running it. My research says it should be fine if the offset is above 40.

I ran a 17x9 +20 (picture below) on the stock 215/50 (sticks out +8mm over 18x9.5 +34 with 235/40 18) and rubbed in the front and was really close in the back, maybe with a conservative drop you will be ok

That image says the 235/40-18 is on a +30 offset wheel. Stock is +50 for 235/40-18. Re-check it with +50.

Yeah it's my current configuration, with +50, the new wheel would be 2.7 mm closer to the struts. Which still seems within reasonable tolerance

That’s actually 22.7mm closer. Quite substantial and even worse if the front have camber (~10mm closer on top of that)

I know for certain 235/40/18x8 +30 to +50 is no problem.
