This is pretty much the lip I’ve been asking for. Finally, hopefully the price is 100 bucks like it says. I’m okay with painting it myself since I’ve done similar things before.

what grit sandpaper did you use to wetsand it?Hey guys!!
Im the OP with the lip. Jakabony has all the info up already so just here to help answer any other questions you all may have
As mentioned above, the lip is polyurethane and comes in that plasticy black color. Like a semi gloss kinda.
I wet sanded it just to smooth things out a hair, degreased it then hit it with multiple coats of Krylon fusion gloss black. Nothing special.
I wanted it to match my grill and the fog light garnish's that are gloss black and i think it turned out pretty good.
Install was crazy easy. You DO NOT need to remove the bumper. The lip comes with 10 black self tapping screws that are used to hold the lip up. Not only do the sides of the lip "lock" into the factory gap that im pointing too in the 1st set of photos, but the center of the lip wraps OVER the center of the bumper. This lip fits snug and is very sturdy being that it is reinforced by the bumper itself.
Ill let you all know how it holds up to me murdering some cones at the next autocross.
As for the email response from Bayson R above, Ive been in touch with them for over 3 months then last thursday they said the prototype came in and on friday I was over there checking it out.

This just made me rethink the lip I wanted for the car! As soon as it's in production I am ordering. I have been wanting an option like this. My wife got a similar one for her 18 Accord EX and I am quite jealous of her $70 lip that looks awesome. lol

regarding installation, you said in the post the lip comes with 10 black self tapping screws that are used to hold the lip up, does it require drilling for these self tapping screws? Also when will this lip become available and what is the final price including shipping to the Midwest?

Ilaviel, im not 100% sure. Ive never paid attention to the hatch bumpers but I will try and find out for you.
Aldo, you dont need to drill holes. Self tapping screws make thier own holes. You just line up, put pressure and screw them in. A small pilot hole always helps make things easier but its not needed. As with all things, theres other ways to mount them but what they supply works well.
Per the Email from Jackabony and Bayson R, it looks like a release date of december. Final price is TBD and all I know is they said around $100. Shipping, you got me there. I have no idea. You would have to contact them. I dont work for them. Sorry man!
BoostedSicoupe, I used a wet sanding block I got from Autozone a while back. The degreaser I used is the Dupli color paint and prep spray, again from Autozone and the paint I got from Ace Hardware. Nothing crazy or special.

No direct link as this lip is unreleased and unavailable at this time. As for making it in Carbon, I would assume that would be based off demand for a carbon lip and even with the currently available options, I dont see the demand there. Never know though, shoot them an email!!

Had the lip since this past friday, painted it Saturday so 2.5 days. So its holding up fine. Haha!
