Another hot hatch comparison.
Anyone notice the opening in the lower front left (North American driver side) fog light grill on the Type R at the 14:20 second point ? :hmm:

I'm losing it ... I'm sure this was posted here today ... maybe in another thread? Anyhow, FK8 vs. Megane. I found the commentary kind of annoying, but this video features the best driving of an FK8 in any YouTube video that I've seen, excluding the Honda track time attacks, of course. Tiff may be 66 now, but he's still got it.

Saw this today. I drove my s2000cr on Laguna Seca about 8 years ago. I dream of getting that track map on the rear window of the type R!
Sad to see that in just a little over 6 minutes, the CTR starts to overheat on a 70F day at the track. I understand this is a street car, but my stock S2000 can do a 20 min track session and the coolant temp gauge does not go above the normal operating temp on the tracks I've run, even on a 90 deg summer day here in GA. It's awesome that the CTR turned such a good lap time, but if after 1-2 laps you need to back off and let everyone pass you, I'd be disappointed if I'd have purchased a CTR. Seems the cooling system is a bit undersized, even for light duty track fun. I guess when Honda created the K20C motor, the turbocharged engine created a lot more heat vs my F20C.

One of the great things about the S2000, for the average owner, we could track the car stock on hot days without any worry of running up the engine temps. Maybe for 2019 Honda will add some additional cooling capacity to the system.
