I think a good way to reduce 'casual' theft is to drive a manual transmission. I have a 6speed manual in my Civic, and none of my friends know how to drive it; I doubt some crack addict would know how either.Seems like this is the end of my CIVICX profile. My Civic SI Coupe was stolen last Friday. Woke up around 8:30am and the car was gone. Police do not find it in any sort database. I live in a good area in Miami, Florida. The only suspicion from the night before was a blacked out Truck that tailed me and drove by slowly when I went inside my house. I have both keys in my bedroom. How in the hell was my Si stolen? Doesn't push-button not turn on if the key isn't near the car???
Friendly reminder that Hondas' are known to be the easiest cars to steal. Atleast that's what the police officer told me.
i bet that was a blessing in digsuise lmaoI think a good way to reduce 'casual' theft is to drive a manual transmission. I have a 6speed manual in my Civic, and none of my friends know how to drive it; I doubt some crack addict would know how either.
But, yeah,..yours probably just got towed away by professionals. I feel your pain! My VW GTI got towed/stolen,..but I actually hated that car (more defects than you could count) and got all my money back from the insurance.

Seems to be a lot of folks are not up to date on current technology. Your key fob signal can be picked up in you/rdriveway/street/ garage by thieves with the right technology.

Also google the tech they are using. If they know what they are doing, then can start your car within minutes and drive away... no towing involved.
Do your own research... I was surprised and alarmed!
Pro thieves know how to deal with it.That's why I got LoJack on mine.
At least something to track it.
Just watch the video I posted on the previous page. Those trucks with stingers grab and tow a car in a few seconds. Some of you are saying that it could have been towed. Its a good chance but we have a dog that barks for hearing a itty-bittiest of sounds (mainly a car pulling up, or someone walking on the grass)and wake up when he barks. The noise from any truck would have woken us up.
any idea what's foolproof then ?Pro thieves know how to deal with it.
Nothing.any idea what's foolproof then ?
