Let us know what KTuner says, I disabled P0420 but I still get P0139 every now and then.

edit: Nevermind, saw their response in the KTuner thread, looking forward to the next update:thumbsup:

I just sent my cal file to them and they returned it with the P0139 checkbox disabled. That will be user configurable in the next update but for now, this approach is fine with me. I haven't had a chance to load it yet, but will report back.

This is more like it.

Wrapped the inlet, put the heatshield back on with just the top and side bolt (I just folded the blanket under about 1/4" to get enough clearance for the bolt hole, then unwrapped it back over the bolt), and installed the P0139-less Ktuner Stage 1 DP tune. She runs strong! She sounds badass! And best of all, she does run much cooler now. I was beating the crap out of it for 10 minutes or so and didn't get a CEL, and also with the same ambient temp as yesterday (77*) I only hit 116 after a pull through 6k in 4th, from 1st. And though it hit about 116-118, it was back down to 99 within a few seconds just from driving. I am seriously impressed and happy I spent a couple hours doing this.

Looking good! One of the cleanest gold jobs I've seen.

@RV6 Just wanted to check to see if there were any updates on your frontpipe you are working on. Can you start a new thread with details for what you can share.

We should be starting production in about a month. Both of our local mandrel bending facilities have been super busy. We currently have 3 downpipes out for testing, 1 track day car and 2 cars running endurance racing. We plan on taking preorders soon.

Subscribed - I just put RV6 HFPC's on my 4G TL 6 speed and they have totally transformed how the car feels and drives combined with KTuner, which I'll also be adding to my CTR once it comes home. Great company, RV6 is.
How does it sound

How does it sound
Sounds great on both platforms. In both cases it adds a little depth of tone and maybe a tiny bit of loudness but no drone. I'm sure this plus their upcoming frontpipe will open up the sound just enough that, outside of a "cat back" that sheds a ton of weight and isn't $2500+, I can't see myself doing anything further to the exhaust. Then again, I also don't feel the CTR is "too quiet" as a stock car, so YMMV.
