The unit keeps power through your key off, which means the bluetooth is still active. The bluetooth connection must time out and disconnect before you can connect again, since you just shut off the app without disconnecting first.

Will it ever be changed to where I can just shut off my car without having to disconnect and it will automatically connect again?

If the car is off for more time than it takes the bluetooth connection to timeout, it will automatically connect.

I don't know how this head unit works, but it can keep the app running while the car turned off. If you turn on and the app is still running, it will not autoconnects since it's running and disconnected. You can try to uninstall and reinstall the app and see if that helps or turn off autoconnect in the settings, then connect it while turning on autoconnect on the connection screen.

I’ve been having this issue as well. Is there a solution for this problem?
