Does anyone know if the CTR oem RMM is stiffer than the stock? Good upgrade?

Yes, if you're comparing it to your EX. It is a good upgrade if you actually need it and are going to be putting down more serious power relating to your other upgrades, as well as launching/racing your car. If you're using your car as a daily driver and not flooring it from light to light, or you only have an intake on your car with mild boost increase with one of the popular tuners (hondata or ktuner) using a preloaded base map, the rear motor mount can wait.

Regardless, even if you just want to put it in to say you have Type-R stuff in the car, then yes, it will also direct fit just like your current rear motor mount.

Just be aware that any other aftermarket RMM is going to add vibration and noise into the car. Depending on how hard it is and what materials the mount is made of, it can really affect how much you enjoy day to day driving. Seeing as how the Type R uses hardened rubber, but is still an OEM design meant to dampen vibrations, I think going with the CTR RMM is a good balance between being able to hold the power down while also dampening vibrations in the cabin.

I'm personally using a Hasport 62a mount, which is polyurethane bushings in a metal housing, and it shakes the car enough that I am switching it out to an aftermarket hardened rubber mount with hardened plastic shell. Similar to OEM, but stronger. Hopefully, to find that balance I mentioned above since my car is primarily a street car.

Has anyone switched to the Type R motor mount that can speak to its efficacy in a lower model?

Hardrace also has a rmm which uses their street rubber bushings.
I expect that Will be the same as type r.
Only difference is it uses the plastic version.

The CTR bolted right up to my EX with no issues.

Is there a benefit over the factory unit?

Increases in cabin vibration or harshness?
Zero NVH so far and the car feels tighter, maybe a placebo. But the stock RMM was plastic and the CTR is aluminum with more rubber.

The OE CTR RMM has slightly more material and an additional thin rubber insert on the chassis side vs the SI/Manual transmission RMMs. The CVT has an even softer variant with a plastic housing.

If you are looking for a very minimal change then I could see the switch from CVT RMM to CTR being a small upgrade. At the same time, many SI and CTR owners are upgrading to the 27WON RMM with great results.

Does the Type R RMM reduce wheel hop ? I still doubt between the Type-R RMM or the hardrace one .Does anyone have any experience with the hardrace one?According to Hardrace their RMM is a street version and has a shore A hardness of 60 -65 .It's softer then any of the polyurethane filled mount because its not fully filled with rubber .

Just put in a CTR RMM today in my Si. Took it for a short test drive and my initial impressions are that’s it’s definitely worth it if you are sensitive to added NVH. I could sense very slight additional vibration. If someone would have installed it without me knowing I’m not sure I’d be able to tell in the context of NVH. Where you can definitely notice something is in the shifting. Less slop and movement and in the lower gears I don’t have to pause as long before releasing the clutch to get a smooth shift. I really think the Si should have come with the CTR mount from the factory. I don’t think the buyers would have complained.
