I got the letter (snail mail) this past week about calling a dealer to schedule a day to fix it. I just don't care enough seeing how it's not the primary vehicle by any stretch and don't really drive it either. Plus from working in a few dealerships as a tech I don't trust anyone else to touch my baby.
Are you admitting your CTR is a garage queen?;)

Just found this thread while doing some research. I received a P2261 back in early August with 1032 miles on the ODO. Mine is a 2018 model, March production. I cleared the code and hasn't come back yet. I will need to take a look at the harness tonight and see what revision it is.

Checked my harness and it's the revision 2 with the extra tape. And P2261 came back after a little under 400 miles .

Just an update...my dealer replaced the entire turbocharger today. They are also going to replace the boost solenoid. This part won't arrive until next Tuesday. Hopefully, I'm get it back by Wednesday. YIKES!

Got the letter from corporate a month or two ago. Parts came in and finally turned my car in to the dealership this morning.

If i take my ctr in for the rev match issue will they still fix the problem even if i have dp fp intercooler ktuner and intake ? I been searching the forum but no one is talking about having all the mods with this issue and taken it into the dealership.

My dealer replaced the turbocharger and the air bypass valve. Seems like it's fixed. Yay!

Tech did make a note that he found some bolts were cross threaded and 1 actually sheared off during disassembly.

I look at this and laugh a bit. Highly speculative that the bolts were cross threaded. Likely able to charge honda more hours for that, add a time punch time and get some straight time. Orrr, they fucked up a bit on reassembly and needed to fix it.
That being said why did you get charged 98.84 for a warranty job?

No additional comment on the bolt issue. I'm just glad it's fixed.

I didn't have to pay. Not sure why they left it on my ticket. When the tech first diagnosed it as the turbo, the dealer paid out of their own pocket ($98.84) to get the turbocharger overnighted.

its funny you mention the cross threaded bolt actually, i had to replace the turbo on a 17 crv and actually found a cross threaded bolt aswell, only option was to snap it off and replace it. gotta be a manufacturing/assembly issue.

Looks like I’m on borrowed time... 5500 miles on r-12851. Early 2018 build with update 2 taped harness..
No issues yet & don’t plan on updating unless totally needed.
I dread dealers & this isn’t a simple swap...

No this is actually common when doing down pipes to see cross threaded bolts. It’s almost as if the install requires new hardware. You have to work the bolts out if they shear. Know of a few instances from Type-Rs that techs had this problem.
