Best coilovers for 2016 touring sedan

Hi everybody,
I have black 2016 touring sedan and really want to lower it. I would really like something with ride height adjustability so I am looking at some coilovers. I am new to the honda family. So are there any recommendations you guys have? what are good and what should I stay away from? I don't race so this would be mostly for looks and everyday driving. Reliability is a must! I've been looking at K-tuned.

I have the exact same car & would also like to know. I have been looking at buddy club, BC Racing, & MeisterR.

I have a Touring and I initially had D2 Racing coilovers. I found them to be too harsh for my application. I got them taken out and installed the Eibach pro-kit. To be honest with you, I would go for lowering springs if you don't plan to race.

All the coilovers out there offered for the 10th gen aren't the best. BC racing is probably the most popular set of coilovers people get in this forum.

Also, are you really going to change the ride height all that often? Every time you do, you'll need to get an alignment. My opinion is to go with a spring set up. Pro-kit or Sportlines depending upon how much you want to drop. Search the forum, you'll find plenty of answers.

My main reason for looking at coilovers is that my shocks would also need to be replaced. Stock Honda shocks leave a lot to be desired.

Additionally I want to fine tune the ride height to best set up the wheel & tire set up. I am definitely intending on staying away from d2

I had the same thoughts as you, that I'd have to replace the shocks if I went with lowering springs and I wanted more camber anyway, so the total cost (if camber plates ever came out for this platform) would up me towards the coilover price range anyway. So my friend recommended MeisterR's to me, he's never had them but heard glowing reviews of them. I went to check some more, and found only glowing reviews (with negative skeptics that never purchased or rode in them before), mainly on 86 and Miata forums though and especially in Europe (as expected, if you check their company origins).

I'll be honest, the amount of pushing from their company on those forums weirded me out a bit, and how responsive they are was startling, but I can attest that they're genuine. I installed the ZetaCRD+ with my friend and after going through some hiccups (I'll make a thread on these coilovers later!) I am pretty satisfied. Granted, this is my first set of coilovers and first time ever adjusting the suspension on any car aside from the Type R sway bar installation. Lowered around 1.5 inches all around, giving me no issues with speed bumps and driveways, and I'm set at -2.2 camber in the front, -2.2 left rear, and -1.2 right rear (definitely need the camber kits from Eibach or SPC, I have some Godspeed's coming and will see how that goes).

Comparison wise, I've only driven my friend's 9th SI on Godspeed Monomaxes (10kg Fr/14kg Rr) which was very stiff. The ZetaCRD+ made my car soak up bumps and ride like a luxury vehicle in contrast. I've set the dampers to 20/32 (12 clicks away from hardest) all around. The ride is very compliant over bumps but firm and responsive. More importantly though, I had the camber to provide me more grip for canyon runs and my first ever track day. I know I should've gone stock suspension to find my limits and improve from there, but I'm not sure how often I'd be tracking and noticing differences, and I definitely didn't want to chew out my sidewalls yet. I remember that MeisterR thread a while ago said that these springs are too soft for tracking/autocross, but my friend (who's been regularly tracking his cars) and I found it to be very capable. It seems to strike the perfect balance for a daily, and I would gladly upgrade to the GT1's someday.

According to their website, there's now a bilstein b14 set for the civic X. I would go for that one if you can find it.

I ended up getting the buddy club coil overs. The eibach kits are known quantities & many people have posted their results & are happy with them. I am still adjusting my coil overs & suspension set up to where I like it for ride height. As far as dampening the new coil overs are stiffer but it’s not too harsh. Additionally the handling is much improved.
