Because theres more to a car than just a 0-60 time......smh, will not get another Honda when this one is gone, bad taste left with me.
Agreed!! My non-Si 9th gen i find fun to drive, and it's slow as HELL! I just want a little more passing power in my next car.
I drove a Sentra, not NISMO, but it wasn't a bad. It had a decent acceleration, nice interior, not much tech, but decent package.

Wow... I remember test driving a Sentra that was a Spec V, probably 15 years ago. It wasnt too shabby in performance compared to it's peers, but wasn't very interesting. It doesn't seem to have improved greatly in all that time. That was right around when the Altimas got their big redesign and got a VQ and the 350z came back and was quite good at a virtually nonexistent segment at ~25k. Nissan of late reminds me of how it was going in the mid-90s. Their interiors have gotten better for sure, and their rides got noticably better fleet wide in the mid-00s but I haven't been lured to a Nissan lot in close to 5 years, and that was to see how abysmal a Quest was compared to the other offerings.

My roommate has the nismo sentra. Pretty clean black with red accents and the cvt transmission. He was really trying to persuade me into getting the nissan sentra sr turbo. I opted to get the 2016 civic ex-t instead.

Honestly, I don't know how much faith I'd put into saying the nismo sentra only runs a 7.1 0-60. It feels extremely torquey, and will put your head into the headrest. It feels faster than my ex-t when it was stock.

I don't really dig on the plastic interior of the sentra, though I can say the seats are really good.

unfortunately (or fortunately) if you're a tall person like me needing longer doors in a 2 door coupe style, the Civic is perhaps the only option. Every time getting in/out of a 4 door car that isn't ginormous, it requires athleticism to maneuver around the B pillar and completely pushed back seat.

So what happened with OP. Did he ever get the Nismo? Profile now says 2017 Civic Si.

Not to mention, Nissan CVT Transmissions are crap. A friend of mine who's a master tech at a nissan dealer here in Kansas replaces CVT Transmissions on a almost on weekly basis.

He got a Civic Si a while back, but if I recall, he recently sold that.
