Hey Guys, I'm a little bit of a noob when it comes to wheels and tires and I've tried to research on my own, but I would just feel more comfortable discussing with people on here who are already familiar with and knowledgeable with tires/wheels. Once I started reading about things like Offset and how it could possibly affect Torque Steer I just gave up and here I am lol. Basically I'm looking to take off my stock setup, and switch to an 18" wheel with new tires and higher sidewalls, for more comfortable day to day driving due to the potholes that I seem to come across in my driving areas. I'd love to keep as close to factory performance as possible, but understand I might lose a little bit in place of comfort which is ok. I'm looking for all season tires that would be decent in the snow, but still good enough to keep in the summertime. I'm up for charcoal/grey color wheels and I have a budge for the full setup of $2,000. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

the 40s are closer to stock size on 18s than the 35 meaning speedometer will be slightly more accurate with the 40 series on 18”

Hey guys, so after some suggestions, here is what I came up with;

For the wheels I chose these

https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whe...=Matte+Titanium&showRear=no&packageFlow=false

For the tires I chose these

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ExtremeContact+DWS+06&partnum=345YR8DWS06XL&i1_Qty=5&autoMake=Honda&autoModel=Civic Type R&autoYear=2018&autoModClar=&vehicleSearch=true

What do you guys think on the combination of these two as far as how they will affect driving performance for day to day driving and effects on speed variations?

Thanks.
I just got the same tire size for my winter setup, I’ll let you know how they are when they go on. As for the wheels, I went 18x8.5 with 38 offset. I’m going to fit test them at my shop tommorow.
