is stage 2 for cvt 1.5t under the 250 WTQ? interested as i am planning to get ktuner but want the life of the cvt to last
I got the Ktuner last month and had a LOT of questions about it safely working with the CVT. The verdict is basically that all the included maps and all levels of the quick adjustments/quick enables are safe.

The only exception to the quick adjustments/enables being safe is the disabling of the boost target ramp rate, there is a warning somewhere though.

Once you start messing with the tables, you are effectively in custom tune territory. This can be safe or unsafe, it depends on you or your tuner's ability. Bad driving habits will override the safety of a tune though, a forum member blew his engine by constantly abusing his custom tuned car.

I was under the impression the blown engine was from hondata not ktuner?
Bad driving habbits are... redlining and flat footing daily?

Most recently I read about one guy on hondata +6 and another guy on a ktuner 24psi (max base map is 21psi) custom tune who really abused his car. The guy's tuner even told him to stop abusing his car.

When I said bad driving habits I meant abusing the car's engine and transmission. I'm a pretty conservative driver myself but I would guess it includes things like: going WOT from a stop all the time, trying to hit top speed all the time, mishifting, flooring it at low rpm in high gear, and overevving the engine.

In my humble opinion I feel like a lot of these things require someone to be intentionally pushing the limit.

The Ktuner 24psi is the stage 2 tune right? That driving style definitely sounds reckless but also stupid. I definitely don't treat my car like that haha. It seems safe enough.

Does K tuner support afe dry air filter mod too? I suppose its too hard to gauge what type of gains one could get out of this, it's a plan i have down the track. Though the stock air filter appears to be good.

215-220whp/240-260wtq on the MT

You can get more with an ethanol blend
I have a 20 18 civic LX 2 L six speed manual so you’re saying I will get to 15 hp from 153. Also in the website it says I can use 87 octane but 91+ is better obviously what do you think thank you.

The CVT can't handle the torque a MT can. Anything over 250 WTQ for the CVT is pushing it. With ethanol, you can make more power while limiting torque. So Somewhere in the 230-250 range is possible. The CVT with just a stage 2 tune has proven to be quite a bit faster than the manual version with the same tune. So around 240 WHP from a CVT should be pretty quick.
Is this with a K Tuner and aftermarket parts like intake and exhaust?

Yes but it's based on having the turbo model. Looking at your profile you have a 2.0 NA engine. The 1.5T also has a different CVT that handles a bit more power.

Got it, thanks! I'll be adding whatever I can to get more HP in my NA 2.0 and I heard K tuner and intake and exhaust are the way to go if you want around 200HP. Not gonna engine swap or add turbo tho, since everyone says it's too expensive vs the results

A KTuner base tune plus an intake and exhaust won't get you to 200 WHP on your car.

Any way to get that extra 40 HP? I've seen other people post numbers of getting the base 2.0 to 200 HP

200 wheel horsepower on that engine with an intake and exhaust?

And a K tuner, yes. Does that seem like an exaggeration? I see the other thread and it looks like 25 HP is more reasonable. Maybe 30?
