Ithaca NY, possibly moving there

Anyone from Ithaca NY? Might relocate from ohio. Anyone have any experience or opinion at all about Ithaca NY?

I lived close to it. It's beautiful year round but rent is on NYC level.

Move to NY - OH is garbage by comparison

Not sure if OP decided yet since this post is kind of old but Ithaca is a nice quiet town. Some areas get busy during the months that college are in session (Cornell University and Ithaca College) but it's definitely more of a quiet slow paced town full of what college kids "affectionately" call townies. It's a very nice area with some very nice scenery and a lot of history and this wierd sense of pride that everyone from the Southern Tier area seems to have but if you're looking for a car scene you might need to travel to Syracuse or Rochester which are both about a 1-1.5 hours drive away.
