I see fully bolton + corn running 29 PSI on stock valve.
Even the "smaller" turbo packages don't mention needing an upgrade.

I don't think it is necessary at all unless you plan to build your engine and get a massive turbo.
I am curious though how much PSI the stock one holds until it leaks.

My EvoX was about 26PSI until I had to "crush it" and eventually replaced it with a WORKS one that had a heavier spring.

I've been running this recirculation valve by Forge Motorsports and its cheaper than boomba racing and is excellent quality. I upgraded from the stock by pass valve for 1) a more durable material for higher boost and 2) to feel safe knowing it can handle more boost than I will probably ever have. Here is the link. https://www.forgemotorsport.com/Rec...S40_V40_Hyundai_Sonata_Kia--product--787.html
Boomba ripped me off by marketing their blow off valve is completely safe for our cars and never issued me a refund or exchange a their product. Therefore I would not trust this new product they are advertising seeing as they are mainly concerned about making money even if it means damaging your engine. Honestly, I don't know if it does anything performance wise (the forge motorsports by pass valve) but it is an upgrade from stock and looks sexy in your engine bay. Just my .02 cents.

Also if you're looking to get the infamous "PSHHHH" turbo sound, I'd recommend getting the PRL Race cobra intake along with a tune. I am running this set up along with many other modifications and let me tell you that sound is a neck breaker to other drivers and regular pedestrians in the street. Makes me smile everytime ;)
Again, any valve that has a different spring rate than the stock unit is still asking for trouble. You may not have the rich fueling problem, but you still have the change to boost control occurring.

Once more, if you're using the stock ECU, do NOT change the hardware for the bypass valve.

All you rice heads out there that think you know how to mod your car and buy a BOV, read this and throw that BOV in the path of Florence.

Ive asked this question on another thread, but no one chimed in. I'm just curious about the people that actually bought and installed the Boomba Racing BOV. Did it mess your car up at all or did you notice it making your car act funny and not run correctly?

multiple users experienced stalling, bogging and some had fuel coming out the exhaust. Unfortunately facebook is shit for searching old posts or Id screenshot them.
