@PRL Motorsports is there a guarantee that using Ktuner to supress the code will work? I have Ktuner v1.2 and this is the only thing holding me back from a downpipe

100% you can completely block this code with KTuner.
It shows up as "Slow secondary 02 sensor response" and you can block the code/check engine light by simplying checking the box in the software tune settings via KTuner.
Just got a new laptop and I have to go connect to the car to even open KTuner to register my account or I'd let ya know exactly where it's at!

If you aren't comfortable blocking out a code you can try numerous cheap "defouler" units, most popular is the 90 degree design on the 10th gen downpipes so far. This is what the RV6 downpipe comes stock with. I know a lot of people are having great luck with these.

CNT makes a cheap 90 degree kit as well as many other companies. You can also make your own but with these ready made cheap ones, why not!

And this 90 degree defouler is compatible with the PRL catless downpipe?

Should be if there is enough room where the 02 sensor bung is welded on that downpipe. Most pipes fit them but I know some get pretty close to the transmission. Surely someone on here has one of these type of defoulers installed.

I believe that if you disable it in Ktuner then that emissions control will not set to "ready" Here In Texas, 2001 and newer cars are allowed 1 emission control to be set to "not ready". Not sure how New York handles "readiness"
Hi, sorry for this possibly dumb question, but what wording can I use to search for/figure out these details for California? Or does someone know already?

cali is strict, you'll have to put your stock cat back on and flash to stock so all monitors set to ready, they do visual and smog the exhaust. @LilToTo17 may know more, he lives there

Well you just need a catted downpipe and intake to pass smog and yes flash back to stock but frontpipe back can be whatever lol.

Since a catted DP doesn't always throw codes (but may eventually), wouldn't you have a high likelihood of passing inspection using one? I would imagine that you could just park your car at your local mechanic's place, clear the codes using a scanner, and then let them pull it into the bay when they're ready. As long as it doesn't immediately throw a CEL, shouldn't it pass easily?

Any slim chance of there being a labor day sale (or promo) for any PRL components? I'm looking to get a downpipe/front pipe combo and clutch very soon.

You won't have your readiness set yet if you do that and they won't be able to inspect. I use a defouler and I don't have codes on my catted DP though, over 5000 miles now!

Same sort of question here. I live in PA where most counties have emission inspections (check visually and plug computer in to car). If I put a catless down pipe on and clear CEL code do you think it will pass inspection? Even if I buy a catted down pipe and throws a code I have to clear will it pass? Sorry might be stupid questions but I would hate to spend the money and time installing a down pipe to have to remove it and go back to stock because it wont pass. I really hope I can put one and be good because from what I ve been reading they really wake the car up and sound awesome.

Call PRL - they're based in PA and should have familiarity with the inspection laws there

Did your Si or the STI fall on its face? Not sure I quite understood?
