No problem! I'm gald I could help out. I'm still loving the 14 in the dome and the 26 in the trunk. It's a world of difference, especially if you're coming from the OEM lights. I came from another LED and that was still a huge difference. Try to find a discount code for VLEDS... I think I got 5% or 10% off if I remember correctly.

Anyone ever ordered the ambient light kit from Japan?
It seems like these are the same part with different part number because of RHD and LHD issue?

08E16-TEA-0100 (RHD)
8E16-TEA-110A (LHD)
which ambient kit are you referring to? I have them all and can check the part numbers when I get home

It's the light strips along the center console on each side. I'm pretty sure that most online stores in North America runs 08E16-TEA-110A , and those in Japan states 08E16-TEA-010. It's not about the color of the LED strips.

If they are different, what are the difference? Would that be the plugs on wiring harness? Or is there any physical difference on the LED strips that make them left and right orientated?

08E16-TEA-010 (RHD)
08E16-TEA-110A (LHD)

good question. I am not sure about that. college hills Honda has the Type R part number as 08E16-TEA-110B. Regular civics part number is 08E16-TBA-110.
why don't you just get the USDM version all call it a day? unless you have a RHD or got a great deal on a RHD version

I'm trying to get a set for a RHD vehicle, and it looks like the price from most sellers on LHD version are a lot cheaper. I own LHD 09 accord and RHD 18 Civic in two countries by the way.

Those RHD versions can be easily hit up to $280~$300 a pop  while the LHD version is around $140~$180.

These LED strips are definitely not symmetrically judging from different holes and locations required on each side of the console panel. I guess there is a JDM tax on it for getting RHD version. :(

Crazy question, but will this fit on the coupe or sedan? Looking at the part numbers the door handles for the Type R and coupe are different, but wondering if it can be fitted

*edit*

from looking at the instructions I don't see why not as you are just cutting holes into the existing handles and not actually replacing them

I guess it all depends on the harness in the door, and if the same wires can be used

I am wondering this same thing. Not so much the center console kit. But, really like the door kit and the footwell kit. Would like to order for my coupe, but would also like to know it will fit/work outside of a CTR :). Anyone tried it?

Anyone ever looked at the interior light kit on the door from Insight? It's half the price, but the power source is from the door instead of a plug behind the climate control. It'd be cheaper and easier to install without messing with the center console, but I doubt it would.

I've actually been looking into this for a while every since I saw the accessories show up for the new Honda Insights on the iN portal. I'd imagine that there will be more accessories for the mid-refresh Civic since Honda seems to be trying to push accessories a lot harder since they've been releasing 2019 year model vehicles. I'm just going to hold off until they release the accessory list for the 2019 Honda Civics, because if this is available for the Insight I'm sure there will be red ones available for the Civic Si and/or Type R.

I already have the console illuminating kit installed, and I was eyeballing the armrest which seems to be taller and comfort. Are you thinking what I am thinking? Double dipping the illuminating kit in the console and armrest.

Precisely! Hopefully we'd get this for civic's and it would be easy to add to the Type R's. I'd imagine if its not for the Type R it would at least show up for the refreshed Civic Si in a red light vs the white and blue. I check the iN portal every morning for updates lol, I'll keep you posted if anything shows up!
