All temperature logs were done at 75mph on the same stretch of highway. The pull was done safely and legally of course.

Pre Cool Cover Gold and Reflect-A-Gold:
47 Degrees F Ambient Temp
53 Degrees F- IAT (Intake)
55 Degrees F- IAT 2 (Post Intercooler)

Post Cool Cover Gold and Reflect-A-Gold:
52 Degrees F Ambient Temp
56 Degrees F IAT (Intake)
59 Degrees F IAT 2 (Post Intercooler)

60-110MPH Pull (Temps are 30 seconds post pull)
52 Degrees F Ambient temp
59 Degrees F IAT (Intake)
63 Degrees F IAT 2 (Post Intercooler)


Post Cool Cover and Reflect-A-Gold had 2 degree difference on IAT (Intake) and a 1 degree difference on IAT 2 (Post Intercooler). Once I can take the car to the track I think the difference will be in the amount of pulls before the heat soak sets in.

Curious if you had a chance to test this further on the track?

Also was there any reason you didnt put this cover over the intake portion sitting directly above the turbo? I would think that would be a better place to protect from heat.

Thank you for posting this information! I was thinking about doing this but I think I will pass for now after seeing your post. 1-2 degrees cooler seems hardly worth the effort of wrapping everything.

Thank you for posting this information! I was thinking about doing this but I think I will pass for now after seeing your post. 1-2 degrees cooler seems hardly worth the effort of wrapping everything.
honestly it only took about 20 minutes. I have been to the track numerous times and the heat soak hasn't been an issue but I always forget to log IATs so I have actual data to provide.
