Our southern neighbours have a TSB for the turbo surge but we don't have it yet here... The surge happens around 2000 RPM, the surge is minimal around 100-200 RPM but annoying and I can feel it when driving over 70 KMPH.
We have the software update for surging in Canada. It has been released last week and i have got updated already.. Ask your dealer...

We actually do have it here as stated by some Canadians in the surging threads. Hopefully getting mine updated this week because my dealers scanner had an issue last week updating mine. Cheers.

I asked my dealer about the CVT update last week and they had no idea what I was talking about and said there wasn't even one at all for my Touring. Hmmm, maybe I'll check with them again once they finally have the official fix for the subwoofer rattle.

On a separate note, do any of you in the west end of the GTA (Mississauga/Oakville/Milton) know a good detailer or autobody shop that can deal with paint repairs? I totally botched my recent paint chip repair using this wet-sanding technique I found on YouTube and I need a professional to clean up my mess of scratches left by the sanding and poor clear-coat application.

Same here, my dealer checked and said nothing on their file yet... I will talk to another advisor.

I used Detail Pros in Brampton for my paint sealant application - super professional and experienced staff. Give them a try... http://www.detailpros.ca/

Advisor said they don't have any TSBs on file... he will check with the service manager and get back to me... that was last week, no news yet.

That's what my dealer said too, but I insisted there is an update, so they hooked my car up to the scanner and found the update..

@CivicNut Thank you, thank you, thank you for the recommendation of The Detail Pros in Brampton! I had such a pleasant experience with them today! For anyone in the Greater Toronto Area, I highly recommend them if you're looking for some premium detailing supplies or need some touch-up work done! They got my mess of scratches cleaned up incredibly well and you can only see a slight bump where the original chip was (which might go down a bit after the extra touch-up paint dries). I'm very happy with the results and to make things even better, they only charged me $25 and finished the job in like 10-15 minutes (and they fixed the scratchy mess I made fixing a chip on my front bumper too)! The owner was very sympathetic and kind and spent at least half an hour giving me loads of useful tips and tricks on how to keep my car looking good and recommended some professional products they sell. I was so thrilled with their service that I ended up buying some pro cleaning supplies (a super premium drying towel, some pro tire shine product and a few other little things) even though I recently spent hundreds of dollars on stuff from Canadian Tire. I'll also be coming back in the fall for their high end paint protection package and will probably try some more of their high-end imported products as well. What a stark contrast between this place and The Auto Spa shop in Mississauga I went to yesterday. The guy at The Auto Spa was really rude, judgmental and condescending - really made me feel like crap, as if I wasn't already pissed off enough about ruining the paint job on my new baby. I'm so glad I was introduced to The Detail Pros and decided not to go with The Auto Spa!

No worries @CivicMichael. Glad you had it all fixed up and $25 for the fix sounds like a steal! Yup, they've got some good stuff and tips - will be visiting them once the real spring kicks in for some car wash products.

Hi
What kind of exterior package you opted from them and what products they used specially asking about Dr. Beasley's nano resin or pain sealant? Also can you post some pics of your car as well please as I have WOP as well. thanks

Here's what I got done at Detail Pros:
- Hand-wash, buff, wax and paint sealant application
- Dr. Beasley Nano-Resin Paint sealant (http://www.drbeasleys.com/nano-resin.html)
- $ 195 (CAD)
- Took 3 hours for whole application
- Protects for 2-3 years

I was considering the 9H Ceramic Pro coating which lasts ~5 years, but $500 was on the high side for me... so went with Dr. Beasley's Nano resin sealant and am very happy with the results. Will go back for another application in 3 years.

That's the same one I'm going to opt for this fall - the Dr. Beasley protection package. I'll have to see how many swirls and scratches I accumulate by then, so I may have to get the polishing and/or compounding treatment in their higher packages as well. Man, it's so much more work to maintain a black car properly. I figured I'd have to wash it more frequently, but I didn't realize there'd be so much more protection and maintenance involved as well.

Go for it. You'll notice the dirt comes off quite easily during washes.

Use touch less wash until the warm weather then hand wash yourself. You'll save the car from some unnecessary swirls and not to mention the satisfaction.
