So just got a si an notice there’s no spare tire instead it’s a kit which to me is a joke. Was wondering if anyone got ideas as to where I can buy a spare tire or is it smarter to get a actual rim with tire o_O

speaking of which, will LX spare tire work if you have Si wheels? or at that point it is useless ?

i got a donut spare with my 2018 si.
i thought they fixed that this year.
Canada models include the spare tire. US model Si cars do not, along with many other options.

does anyone know what is included in this kit? Based on the price $168 and package weight 15.2 lbs... i cant imagine it include any of the tools.
shipping is what gets you
also you would need to buy a tire for it

yea i have no issue buying a tire and paying the $150 shipping... just cant see how it can include the rim and tools/jack if the package weight is only 15 lbs.

Hope it does, winters in NJ and commuting, I need a spare

The package also includes the fake subfloor to the trunk. You will loose about 2-3cu ft of trunk space as well. Not saying its not worth it.. but just saying.

As explained to me, the center route exhaust on the SI causes the trunk floor shape to change.. losing the well for the spare that the non si's have. So, to make it all even, you get risers/spacers on the sides and a new floor panel as well.. Plus, obviously the jack and lug wrench etc.

I missed where it gave an actual weight.. where did you see that?

And far as I can tell, the price, with shipping for me, is about the same as the dealer charges for the same kit.

you may as well buy it from your local dealer. it be cheaper since you don't have to pay for shipping but you would pay full price for the item
you can ask them for a discount too

Local dealer and hondapartsnetwork both say there is still a back order on the kit.

May just piece it together.. get the foam spacers online and try to source a tire and tool/ jack from a junk yard... I would think any similar sized 17” steel rim would clear the rear brakes.
