Has anyone used them and if so how far back did you coat?

Any thoughts on coating all the way to the mufflers

I had jet hot do the headers on my LS1 s10, and they looked like $#!+ After a year... All rusty and pitted. Not a fan

I have my kooks headers coated on my gto and couldn't be happier. Been coated for 8 years and still look great.

Never done Jet Hot coating but would say doing it to the mufflers would be a waste of money. Main focus is to keep down heat in the engine bay. So I would only do the downpipe and frontpipe.

I only coated the DP and FP. I just had it installed last weekend, so can't comment on durability just yet, but they do look great. Our cars need all the cooling measures it can get.

once you past the front pipe its not as effective the exhaust will be cooled down by then. but keeping the heat inside the pipes will keep the exhaust velocity up.
i had kooks headers also and after 9 years they still looked new.
if the pipes are mild steel the coating will flake off after a year or so because the pipes starts to rust.

Great point on the mild vs stainless.
