Can someone explain to me why the dealership wouldn't adjust the caster? I had the alignment done and picked it up without looking at the sheet. I'm looking at it now and the caster value was never put within tolerance. I'm also running 245/35R20 tires instead of 245/30R20 if that matters.

Did you possibly bend a wheel?
Unfortunately I did, though it was minor. I hit a sudden incline in the road on a major highway of all places... Was going the speed limit too.

I've learned that it isn't adjustable. Will the caster being out of range have any major negative effects? And if I wanted to fix it, which parts would I need?

Because if it was just an alignment, they aren't going to do that under warranty. Obviously it's not the alignment anymore.
Lol. Not like dealerships can do alignments

It's a time thing. I go to the dealership it's going to take 2hrs+. The place I went had me there for 45min. I don't have unlimited time to futz around waiting.

I don’t believe caster is adjustable from factory.

After more research, caster is not adjustable. Mine is slightly off from factory spec, but was told it's nothing to be worried about since it's the same on both sides of the car.

Yea you’re completely fine. You can research caster and find out what it does. Essentially it just makes the car return to center easier and more camber gain under load when you have high caster.

Seems like the 45 minute alignment worked well for ya. So you'd save 1 hour 15 minutes AND were ready to pay $900? Lols

If car was less than 12 months old yes they would do it under warranty and it wouldn’t cost anything

Correct caster is not adjustable on type r. Caster shouldnt effect your car pulling either
