I have ordered some and they might be here tomorrow. I will try and install ASAP with a review and pics
Very interested to see and hear how it goes. I assume it will be brighter than factory bulbs?

The XML2s are going to be brighter than your low beams, which is kinda odd if you ask me. IMO, fog lights should never be brighter than your actual headlights. I went with the XP80s.

Do you have pictures of what the xp80s look like in? Are they brighter than the factory halogens?

I put in the XML2s and love them! They might be brighter than the low beams but do not appear that way since they are reflected and dispersed in a circular pattern vs the direct focused pattern of the headlights. This is pretty clear on the garage door picture. I originally ordered the bright white 5000K bulbs from Diode Dynamics but was not happy with the somewhat yellow color vs the stock headlight color which must be ~6250 K. They allowed me to return them and get the Cool White 6000K version here http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/led-bulbs/listed-by-size/h8/h8-xml2-pair They match very closely and the output at night is fantastic. Here is a good shot of the car with the 6000K fogs (note the light color has not been photoshopped on any bulb)

That's awesome, do you have pictures with the 6000 against the garage door? How was the install with the larger size? Do they use much more electricity than the stock bulbs?

Thank you. I don't have that picture but I could run outside and do it real quick. I don't know about electricity but they are plug and play H8 with the factory wiring. I think Cree manufactures the best LED's out there right now

It looks bang on. Was it difficult to install? No space issues with the larger bulbs?
No there is a ton of room back there. Honestly took me about 5 minutes per side. 2 bolts and 2 pop off push pin locks (on either side) and slide the plastic back and up that you just unscrewed/ popped off. 1/4 turn on the lights and a thumb button press on the factory light clip and thats it

No you don't need to Jack the car up. Installed my Phillips LED fogs in my gravel driveway kneeling on the ground. Nothing to it.

Correct, the H8 is a plug and play replacement for the factory bulbs

The XML2 is the brightest model we offer (1,420 lumens / measured) and is available in 3000K Yellow / 4000K / 5000K / 6000K color temperatures.

Feel free to send us a PM for the free-shipping code! (U.S. members only)

Thanks!
Nick C.
Which color temp. matches the closest to the factory LED on a Touring? Thanks.
