Hey guys,

I'm 3.5k kms into my Si now and i've begun to notice a whirling/whining noise when i press the throttle with the A/C on.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? I have never had this before with previous cars.

I feel like i have noticed something similar. mine is a '17 si sedan with >6k miles. most of the time it goes unnoticed, but it stops making noise when i turn the A/C off.

Mine does this too, just under 10k miles. But then again the whole car drives/sounds like trash with the A/C on so unfortunately I try not to use it which kinda sucks.

Same here, without any other symptoms, appart from this very faint whining noise (resembles a supercharger:) ) which can be heard with no matter music on or On but at a very low volume. The car drives normally with AC on, accelerates normally, AC does it's job of cooling the car very good so i’ll let him be. Probably some technical noise, given the fact that the AC compressor us different than the normal ones by having a variable volume output (that’s why once turned on it remains engaged until you turn off the AC or the car). It has 4 more years and 8 months / over 90.000 miles in which it can die and be replaced under warranty.
