Couldn't. Care. Less.
See, this is exactly it. If you couldn't care less, then don't post. You know what would happen if I posted in every thread I couldn't care less about? This thread would be buried eight pages deep in a matter of minutes and you would only see "last post by MuffinMcFluffin" plastered everywhere.

I just stay out of those threads, or I read them and go on my merry way. If there is something in a thread like that that arises which would illicit a constructive response from me, then I would post. Otherwise, I don't. It's pretty simple.

I believe you can just hold the left/right arrows to skip within the current track. If you just press the left/right, it will go back/forward track.
That works on headunit itself but I don't think the steering wheel controls have those features. If I press and hold it goes to the next or previous folder. On all the other cars that I've owned or been on, the same input allowed me to Fast forward or rewind.

The steering wheel arrows work this way with radio. When I'm on XM (which I'm on most of the time) a left-right press gets the previous- next preset, press and hold gets the previous-next channel.

Lack of fan speed knob was always a bigger deal for me. I got used to the lack of a volume knob.
Love it.
Some people miss the volume knob, others miss the fan speed. I miss the homelink button! Also an "S mode" button on the steering wheel would be nice... better yet get rid of the shifter!
Also miss not having a lumbar and massaging feature on the driver seat... What the hell!
Get it right Honda damn it!

For every comment about missing the volume knob, there are 10 belligerent and insulting replies about not needing it.
That's exactly it!
Only 1 out of 10 wants the button, the other 9 don't need it.
See, we can agree :)

I don't think the touchscreen slider control would be so bad if the head unit wasn't so laggy. Tactile feedback is damn near a must for something that doesn't respond immediately, especially if you wan't to do it without taking your eyes off the road. So yes, as mentioned that's when the steering wheel volume control comes into play, but even that I'll press 10 times and it adjusts the volume 8-9 steps. I know I know, sluggish infotainment unit = dead horse :bat:

Yeap, they screwed the 2018 owners. The 2017 model has the steering slide volume feature. One slide just about mutes the beast.

Not on the Si. I got used to not having it, but it would be nice. Kinda makes me miss my Audi where everything was by the shift knob.

et me guess, you’re one of those people who defend phone manufacturers removing the 3.5mm jack?

lol I forget what’s a 3.5 jack?
Tesla uses just 1-button to operate their car.
Transportation will be autonomous self driving, voice recognition and even artificial intelligence

And that’s relevant to the discussion how?

Autonomous cars will never be mainstream in our lifetimes.

i replaced mine with the 2016 part number. Now i have a slider in my 2018. I loved it in my 2016 EXT and was so happy that that the slider was plug an play. it looks identical, just the 2018 is missing that function.
