I know its a long-shot here, but wondering if it would be swappable since the stock 7.0 is so buggy!

i must say, that volume knob availability is hella enticing, and if it came with the Insight/Accord updated software, I'd be willing to drop a few hundred to change out my head unit and display too.

Considering the price of the current head units, IF they are interchangeable, and IF it is actually different, the swap would be more than a few hundred dollars. Just realized the price I attached is without a new display unit, just the brains behind it, so add some more to that.

I personally don’t care about a knob or physical buttons, it’s moreso that the current HU in the civics is extremely sluggish.

The one in the accord is quick
But it’s using a nice Qualcomm snapdragon processor

You might be better off buying an aftermarket unit. I believe the Phoenix unit is decent enough

Comparing it to a phone or something yeah it's slow. But for what it is its pretty damn good. I'm just happy that it is Android based. It plays Netflix and everything else just fine in hd quality. I really can't complain even though it could be better but it could be way worse .‍♂

the physical controls, not to mention the new climate button would be a major improvement to my Civic hatch, as i live in a region where gloves are 1/2 year reality.

gotta see if the climate controls could be upgraded too...

Indeed, quite annoying when you push the lane watch monitor button on the stalk on the left side and it sometimes takes a second for the video stream to show up on the HU

Touch sensitive gloves are a life saver. They may heavy duty ones these days.
