I don't need no stinkin' knob. My steering wheel touch slider is freakin' awesome. Plus, having no knob is cleaner looking.:)

I'm glad that it is receiving it just for the fact that people can stop crying about not having a volume knob in a car from 2018. Use your steering wheel controls people!
Amazing how some people consider "why did a car manufacturer omit a very simple - yet important to many - feature" as crying.... and took time out of their day to mention that. Nothing better to do, I guess. Funny also how some will complain about a creaking noise (for example) and when it's fixed, no one comes on here to say, "Good, maybe you'll stop crying about the creaking noise".

Just because it's not important to YOU doesn't mean it's not important to others.

And now you're replying to me so I guess you have nothing better to do as well? Good job buddy. My position still stands that the lack of the knob is a good thing. You should have your hands on the wheel at all times and the steering wheel controls enable you to do that.

I've never used the volume slide on the unit itself. I only use the steering wheel slide. For me, the volume button/knob on the 2019 is for the convenience of the passenger, for example, when my wife thinks the music is too loud, she can turn the volume down, lol.

It is a nice feature that they have finally added. They should have added a tuning knob also, that would have been convenient instead of pressing the advance arrows on the screen....

I don't consider a touch screen a luxury. I consider it a nuisance and I'm glad we still have a choice. I don't care much for people wanting to take away or dictate my choice. What I chose certainly doesn't affect you.
But your trim already has one..?

Everyone has different opinion about what they want in the car.
I personally do not care about the volume knob.
But I do want FF/RW feature on the steering wheel controls.
It was not a deal breaker for my CTR, but if I was just shopping for a regular compact car, it would have been.

So, based on that logic, that means the climate controls, window controls, etc., should all be on the steering wheel since your hands should be on it at all times, right? Sorry man, your logic and argument is flawed.

I believe you can just hold the left/right arrows to skip within the current track. If you just press the left/right, it will go back/forward track.

The last thing the world needs is more touchscreen shit. #proudflipphoneowner

If the inclusion of the volume knob doesn't affect you, then don't complain about people complaining about wanting the knob. You just exacerbate the situation and make it seem worse than it really is.

Strangely enough they say "the Sport trim" which already had a knob to begin with, but now is getting the 7 inch touch screen. Hmmmmm?

I'm pretty sure if you press the arrow keys on the wheel, it switches presets, while if you press and hold the arrow key, it seeks.
