Same as others, it isn't completely disabled at the track you will still want to do the Nintendo cheat code but once you have gotten used to it that takes around 15-20 seconds.

As for comparison of Vit's - I have Stage 1 on slot 1, and TSP Stage 1 on slot 2, have already provided feedback on this previously:) I guess more the merrier but have done it already:)
since you have both on the KTuner, how do you know that you are switching between the TSP tunes and not to Vits tune? i never updated my unit until now to have the multiple tune feature

Not possible, it doesn’t work like that.

You have 5 slots on your KTuner -
For me I have the following setup:

Slot 1 is Vit Stage 1 - due to the updates to Ktuner there is only the Normal and Sport Mode option for this tune
Slot 2 is TSP first tune I received - this has the 3 selectable tunes within it
Slot 3 is TSP for the Cobra Race - this has the 3 selectable tunes within it
Slot 4 is 19/23 Ktuner Baseline - this has the 3 selectable tunes within it
Slot 5 is a 19/23 with custom ramping and boost by gear I built - it has the 3 selectable tunes within it.

Currently the only tune I have that is actually usable with the Cobra Race is the Slot 3, I will be hitting up KTuner for the Baselines for the Cobra Race soon but haven't worried as of yet as extremely happy with the TSP setup at this time. I will go Flex Fuel in the near future so will be wanting he baselines so that I can do that:)

Thanks for the referral. We may be a bit biased but we do believe ours it the best. I do think you will find many other site members that agree!

I like the subtle jab at 'other' intake manufacturers on the tuning page. "Suitable for use with the factory intake or a QUALITY aftermarket intake that keep fuel trims in check such as the PRL Motorsports Cobra."

Am I still going to try it with my Injen? ...for only $79 bucks you betcha I am!

TSP Stage 1 hands down

Hitting 25 PSI on it and carries power to redline better.

Love the 3 map options, can save some gas by staying at map 1 when I don't need the powa

Just placed my order. Can’t wait to test it out and compare the difference between map 3 and vits stage 1.

Apologies if this is a dumb question but how exactly does tuning work? How do I get it done, what do I need, etc?

I have an 18 SI and love the way it drives. I would love to get a little more power if I can though. I’ve done some reading and now am considering a tune. Just need to get a little more informed about how this works and what to keep in mind before going for it.

I’d appreciate a link if this has already been discussed...

You will buy a ktuner/hondata device with preloaded tune files/tsp tune that will plug into your obd II port under your steering wheel. Plug the laptop into your tune device, download a software onto your laptop, following a manual you will upload a tune to the device and then flash your ecu with the new desired tune.

The tune changes ecu programming, that controls the way the engine behaves. There is a bunch of sensors in your car, that reads what is happening in your car and tells ecu what is going on, ecu reads how much fuel/air is coming in, where is the throttle position, decided when to open or close valves, how much air the turbo should pull in and similar stuff. It's more complex than that, but you don't have to worry about it. The tuners put a decent amount of time in testing and finding the best setup for our cars. So going with Ktuner, tsp or vits tune is a relatively safe way.

Honda or any other car manifacturer has to worry about fuel economy, emissions, reliability and regulations so they tune the car to get best possible result while in compliance with all that stuff. Because of that there is a lot of space to improve. And that is what tuners do. Respectable tuner will definetely look at the reliability as well. Otherwise they will lose business if their tune will wreck our cars.

You can go with custom tune that will be done specialy for your car or go with one of the maps from ktuner/tsp/hondata and you can always flash the car back to the factory settings.

I have vits tune and tsp, it is way more different from the stock honda tune than I expected. Definetely worth it!

Since you’ve tried both. What’s your opinion on vits stage 1 and tsp map 3?
