Road noise I-90 near Seattle

Hi Washington Civic owners!

I’ve enjoyed your beautiful state this week. But what’s the deal with your concrete? I thought my Civic had a fairly quiet ride. But then about 100 miles east of Seattle, the rough concrete surface resonated loudly enough to affect my sanity. Even with the windows closed we had to shout to hear. Is it just this car, or does it affect everyone?

Not judging of course, just curious if this is an issue here.

Yeah, our infrastructure really sucks in the entire Puget Sound region But welcome to the area! I hope you found it to be a beautiful and enjoyable place to visit!

Half the time I’m wondering if I just got a flat tire.

The wife and I decided on a road trip vacation this year. We were excited to see how the Civic handles a road trip so we made Glacier National Park and Seattle our destinations. We’d never been to that corner of the country and we had a blast.

And the Civic, just a great ride. Comfortable even on our longest leg of 12 hours. We put on 4000 miles in 2 weeks and averaged 40 mpg. That included a lot of 85 mph driving through Montana and crossing the Rockies.

Thanks for asking, it’s truly a beautiful area of the country.
