I dont think its a grind but more of a rattle. Honestly not really concerned about it... reminds me of a fainter Ducati dry clutch which sounds like a tambourine.

So I was watching some dashcam recordings from this morning and I noticed a sound that my friends are telling me is the vibration of my dashcam since I am accelerating rather quickly, but it kind of sounds like what was being described in this thread. I am looking through my other recordings and I cannot seem to hear it again. I ONLY heard it because I watched the dashcam recording - I did not hear it in the car, which is why my friend told me it was the camera (do note that I generally have music on volume 10+ so that would help mask it anyways). I just want a 2nd opinion... cause if it's something that I should be monitoring for I'll have to start watching the recordings more I guess.

Sound happens at like :40 sec in, I let out the gas at around 4.2k RPM to upshift (and get ahead of the truck..) to 2nd gear and that was the first time I heard it, then again as I build revs and shift into 3rd. Then it goes away. The oil gauge was like 1/4 of the way full because it was cold outside and I had only started driving for a few minutes. It sounds like something spinning - something mechanical, not grinding, just...freely spinning. Looking through my other recordings, I'm not finding anything that resembles this exact sound.

Let me know what you guys think -

I have the exact same issue. It "consistently" happens when
1. clutch to the floor from 1st to 2nd
2. In 1, 2 or 3 gear, just coasting.

Brought it to a local dealer last weekend, and actually drove with the technician. He can hear it clearly, and diagnosed the noise from the "passenger" side. He thought some rocks stuck on the rotors, but was not the case. As of now, there is no solution. Dealer told me to "wait" for the problem to die down.

Cheers !

Michael

Guys I think I found the issue. I have no access to it I have to go to the dealership. The wastegate lever has a play, I cannot tighen due to the heatshield. Grab the wastegate lever and try to move it. Im almost 100% sure that is the issue.

The wastegates have play in them straight from factory.

Mine has had play from 20 miles when I first checked, and I've never heard the sound. Now at 1100 miles.

Just wondering if anyone has an update on this? My car makes same exact sound when cold. Sounds goes away after about 10-15 minutes of driving. It is very annoying!
I'm taking my car to the dealer on Friday where my buddy is a service advisor so he will have their Master Tech look at it.

Got the same sound in mine, only started noticing it because the weather is finally nice enough to drive with windows down.

Same issue as well, sound goes away when clutch is pushed in, come back when driving or coasting. Sounds like its coming from front drivers side area. Only noticed it after doing the cdv delete snd prl ss brake line install. Thoughts?

Took my car to the dealer today to look at this and a couple other issues. Master tech said that it's the same sound he hears on other cars so to him it is "normal." I don't like it but at this point it's not going to get fixed by Honda.

Honda techs are useless. If the sound was normal than all the cars would make it!!!
There is nothing normal about it!
This is total bs!!!

I'm having the same problem when I'm coasting, it goes away when I give it gas or brake.
