I don’t run the joint...just work here and have 3 satisfied customers from here. Just a slippery little sales guy at the bottom of the totem pole. Just wanted to give someone the info Incase they have interest. No need to get all upset. Sounds like y’all already own one anyways. And the vehicle itself is in fact MSRP. Accessories are always additional, many people have bought cars from dealers with accessories not just the type r.

I’ve sold accords with spoiler kits. Many ridgelines with hitches. Oh and I’ve even sold a pilot with crossbars and roof rails plus luggage container, who would’ve thought that people buy accessories on cars.... it’s like getting a cell phone with a case, Or do you guys not have cases because it’s a rip off and company forced accessories ? very strange I understand but it’s just part of it .

I’ve argued enough on here before. I’m over it. It’s a fair deal on a tough car to find. you don’t have to buy it trust me it will sell .

Sincerely,

Your typically “shady” salesman....

It's a "fair" deal, but not a "MSRP or under" deal which is what this thread is for.
+1 EXACTLY!!

This statement by kpun sums it up... Your offer/proposed deal could in fact be considered a decent deal to some. Only problem is and why you are picking up flack is because it is posted in the wrong thread and as you admit this isn't the first time you have posted a R for sale that is OVER MSRP in this UNDER MSRP thread and caught flack for it... Why are you posting it here and not in the OVER MSRP thread where it belongs. Over in the OVER MSRP thread you might even get positive feedback and maybe even a sale from someone there. Where as posting over here on this thread people are armed and ready to be pissed when they see over MSRP since this is the "UNDER MSRP" thread... I really just don't get it...

I mean like someone else said your car is as much at MSRP as the dealers who are charging astronomical fees for accessories... What stops them from saying their 1,000 wheel locks, 1,500 car cover, and etc is still a MSRP car though. I mean at least your accessories aren't marked up to ridiculous. That is one plus to the deal.

My car cover is not $1500 although if you’d like to pay that I won’t say no ! ;)

And all three cars I’ve sold here have been on this thread so haters and all are welcome but every single car that has been sold if you look back through the past has been sold here on this thread .

I’ve had people flying in and guess what I pick them up at the airport in my own type R to bring them to the dealership.

You don’t have to like it but the car is literally at MSRP I do not have a mark up plus accessories I have MSRP and the accessories that have been installed on it. If anyone here has ever worked at or knows the dealership the type R is not the only car that that happens to on a monthly basis. And that is not necessarily from the dealership level and that is not necessarily from Honda every manufacturer has it all dealerships deal with it it’s part of the program I can’t help it. I’d sell every cart invoice if I can help it but it’s not my pocket and it’s not my program I’m just sharing the information if you would like to copy and paste and put it in the other forum you’re more than welcome! :) Thanks for playing have a great day

You are $1,624 OVER MSRP which really in the grand scheme of things isn't bad The overage is 3in required dealer add ons that are inflated. How much inflated? Not terrible, but inflated for sure. What is "surface science" and what is the "dust shield"? Those would be my only questions if I was buying the car. I wouldn't mind the wheel locks and wireless charger. I mean sure I could do it cheaper myself, but shop labor isn't free so I get that. Honestly if your location is open to offers this could be a done and really fair if say $500-700 over MSRP for the add ons I would have done it.

No they don’t. I’ve sold 3 on here already. and most dealers here have a 2 to 5 grand mark up .
Wrong. If you have read through this thread you'd see that there have been multiple CTRs sold at MSRP with no forced accessories from several Cleveland area dealers. And some more from Columbus area dealers. There have been people on this forum that have come in from out of state to get a few of them too.

People keep justifying the markup, ok fine sure. Just do it on the other thread. The rules for this thread are clear cut.

Anyone have any leads on a MSRP Type R in the Pacific North West region? Not scared to drive a little bit and cross the mountains if I need to. Bonus points if it’s black! Thanks y’all.

Honda superstore in Lisle Illinois wants MSRP and no more. as the sales manager told me they don't put goofy shit on the car because they understand who the car is being marketed to and there is no reason to try and sell a car for more than it's worth because then it winds up sitting on the lot. When I bought mine they had sold 6 to date, they all sold within a week or two because they sell all of them for MSRP with no adm or options. I saw the ad pop up on car gurus because I had been watching the market for a couple months and when I saw mine I jumped on it, I called them and they confirmed the price over the phone and I was there in 45 minutes with 10k in cash I drove off the lot an hour later with zero hassle total cost after taxes and all that shit with no trade in was a curly cunt hair under 40k. They will be getting more so I would call them and see what they have coming in.

It’s been a fun run hunting for a CTR, and came close to buying a CW for $3k above sticker here in SoCal.

But, I’ll be buying a used low mileage M2 for basically the same price of a CTR + markup. Good luck everyone else! I’ll be back if that AWD CTR ever shows up.

Found a few right above MSRP by a few hundred bucks, but with “accessories”, they quoted me at 45-48k. Few dealerships. Which is awful. Anyone know where they have a CW one or PMM?!
