My ‘17 EX-T coupe, with 2,600 miles on it, has a greasy film on the windshield that quickly returns after I clean it. I am a non-smoker and only drive the car around town. I have tried several different window cleaning fluids and it always looks good when it’s done. A few days later and it’s filmy again.

Anyone experiencing this? I have been reading threads of issues with the A/C condenser going bad. Could this be related?

That's normal for a new car due to the off-gassing of all the new plastic in the car. It will be bad for the first 6 months, and then gradually will stop after a year or so.

This. It's a common issue on new cars.

Look up AMMONYC on YouTube if you want to learn how to properly clean your windshield.

Off-gassing, as was already said. It's happened on every car I've owned.

If you could park with the windows cracked open, it won't be as bad; same if you drove with the HVAC in fresh air mode instead of recirculate.

I think my back is worse....must be some serious plastic gas letting go...

Hopefully it will end soon. My car is a certified used, first sold in mid-2017. It was driven 900 miles by the dealership then put up for sale. I bought in in March ‘18.

I may try replacing the cabin filter to see if there is any residue on it.
