Put the ultra racing strut bar on this morning, feeling a little uneasy about the limited threads remaining

Looks like you are using washers between the strut tower and bar which I think for one the washer is suppose to go between the nut and strut bar. Two, I didn't bother using the washers that came with the bar and just reused the nuts that came with the car.

I used the ones that came with the car, no washers at all

I don't know bro. Maybe it's just the lighting but looks like you got something between the strut tower and strut bar.

Here's what mine looks like.

No that is the paint that rubbed off when removing the nut, there is nothing there no washers nothing just the nut. If there were washers there it wouldn’t be sitting flush, there would be a gap which there is not

Damn, I don't know what to tell you, buddy. Don't know why you have so little thread left compared to mine :(

I also have the small amount of thread on mine. I was the OP here, had it on for quite some time, check torque periodically... and all is good. Yeah, it looks funky but it's fine.

You have a hatch? Im wondering if the hatches have different length bolts to compensate for the oem black metal top hat plate from the factory? I noticed the hatch also has differnt looking top hat nuts (galvanized) than sedan/coupe (plain silver). Also noticed the alignment bolt on hatch has threads and non hatch has no threads.

I think you're exactly right. The hatch's strut bolts are probably slightly longer to accommodate that anti-mushrooming plate. Good catch.

I wonder what element of the hatch necesitated honda engineers to develop a anti mushroom plate and why the sedan/coupe doesnt have it?essentially the same chassis right?

yes it fits, when i spoke to ultra racing they told me the bar was originally designed for the hatch. All body styles are exactly the same.

This is what this bar looks like on my Si coupe but I actually have the washers on. I'm showing the same amount of threads as you though with the washers. I was a bit worried at first but I got those bolts on pretty tight and I'll be keeping an eye on them. I'll leave some marks to show any movement. Only been a week but so far so good.

Loving the bar, BTW. Front end feels so much more solid and I installed the Eibach anti roll bar on the rear and the two feel pretty good together. This thing turns like never before.

got mine today. installed it as well. It was quite a snug fit and had to re tighten the bolts on one side of the strut tower to make it evenly-fit. overall, a great product. I noticed a great difference when driving through traffic circles near my house.

AYY my photos are featured on the UR website: https://ultraracing-usa.com/honda-civic-fc-2016-2018-front-strut-2-points/
So here's my 5 month review:

The piece is holding up very well even in the cold northern winter months. Driving is still a blast around traffic circles and on high speed lane changes.
also, the site is offering free shipping this month so it's a good month to pick this up for anyone still looking to buy
