I've tried multiple times to get the ghosting off the inside of the windshield. After I get done it looks clean however once it fogs or light hits it a certain way I can see streaks.

Edit: finally found a working solution.

With new cars you should have that “ghosting” cause the plastics are basically off gassing still. It should continue to be like that for 6 months after that you’re good. My method I like to clean my windows are 3 microfiber towers, spray alchohol and wipe with towel 1, spray glass cleaner and dry with microfiber 2, buff dry with microfiber 3.

Yeah it's the offgassing of the plastic dash. It never seems to go away. Just constant streaks. Looks clear until steam or fog hits it.

Maybe not that long, are you using any products on the dash? Like armor all or anything, that might contribute to it. Just give windows a good cleaning and wipe down dash with water.

I used steel wool and soapy water (tons). I put a towel on the dash to catch it. All the cleaners and microfibers never really got it all just smeared around. The soapy water creates a lubricate like claybar, but I used ALOT of it and put a towel down. Even after you do this, you'll still get film build up due to the offgassing of the plastic dash, but for me, it cleaned it for awhile.

We have an older car and it happens less frequently, but if your car sits in the sun, it will just happen unfortunately. Don't use any cleaners or armour all on the dash, it just makes it worse.

I use this tool. It helps putting some elbow grease on the windshield. It helps clear the fog and makes the whole job easier to do. Game changer
I got that along with a few different cleaners (Invisible Glass, Maguires) and some high quality glass towels from rag company.
None of it worked.
I finally resorted to my old method of Windex or Invisible Glass and newspaper, it works the best.
Not sure why, but it just works better than anything else.

Yupp good ol (black and white) newspaper and Invisible Glass (foam-type window cleaner) always works the best! I even have specific glass towels and it's hard to beat the newspaper method in most cases.
