I really like those motegi wheels so do you think 245/40 17 will stick out a bit?

Little bit of a thread restart :)

I ran 245/40R17 on 17x8 +45 last year. The Gold and the weak offset which made the car just sit looking weak made me sell an otherwise really good setup.

I'm aiming for a a setup that is functional but also sits relatively flush. What do you guys recommend for wheel and tire size? My limitation is the H&R Springs that provide a 1.5" drop at the front, thus increasing my chances of rubbing during load - a setup that will help me avoid that would be optimal.

The following pictures are with the car lowered.

I have some autocross tire and wheel questions as well. I'm replacing my 2015 Si with a 2019 Si so I think I'm going to run GS this season. As such I'm think I need a 17 inch set of wheels and tires.

I've seen a bunch of different tire and wheel offsets mentioned here. What's the accepted size? Can the Si handle a range of offsets? I know I need a 17x8.

Are you autocrossing the car or is this for the street? If you are autocrossing, what class are you running in and why does it matter what they look like?

Both, but primarily Street. I just don't want to switch between a daily set and an AutoX dedicated set. If I wanted a dedicated set, I wouldn't care about looks, and would run RE71R's

Ah. I'm too competitive not to have a second set with a top tire. lol.
