@LoneStarFlatLanders Where'd you have your clear front bra done? Pricing?
I ended up going with Earmark Car Audio in Plano based upon a friend’s recommendation. They did a great job and used self-healing film. Pretty cool stuff. Cost me $2100 including tax. Also had the font windshield and sunroof done with film for heat protection done by TriTek Tinting in Garland. That cost around $300.

Hey, if any of you Type R owners are looking to get rid of a good set of the stock SportContact 6 tires, hit me up. I have cash in hand. Two of mine are toast after a whopping 6000 miles. Figure I'll get a pair or 4 for cheap and let the remaining two on my car wear out before I buy different tires or a new set of wheels.

No. Bumper, full hood, and full fenders. Everything except the mirror caps.
But why? You'll never get paint damage to the front of your car to the point that it'd cost $2100 to repair and that's already 10% of the cost of your car. Why wouldn't you just repaint the bumper if it gets chipped badly enough? That'd only cost about $500. It's just cheap Honda paint and isn't painted in multiple coats or with any pearlescence or metallic flakes. If you ever get in a fender bender, not only would you have to pay for the bumper and paint again, you'd have to pay more to have it wrapped, too.

I have the same Rallye Red paint. In 9 months of daily driving and two track days, I don't have a single rock chip except on my passenger door handle for some reason. But that's moot because nobody gets paint protection over door handles anyway.

I drove the car 1,000 in the first week I owned it prior to getting the film installed. Had 2 rock chips already. One actually had dented the hood. I rally the car and stuff like that. It'll get lots of chips. Track days don't usually incur rock chips. Daily driving in North DFW does with all of our road construction. Honda also is known for very soft paint. Shines well but easily chips.

In regards to painting the car, by the time you remove all parts, sand, and paint the nose of the car, you'll be at $2,100 easy. Been there and done that. When I buy a car, it just gets paint protection automatically.

In 2.5 months I've put almost 12,000 miles on the car and the paint film has minor imperfections in it from where rocks have hit and deflected. Just happens.

Well dang, you've already nearly doubled my miles in less than 1/3 of ownership. Where are you driving? Wyoming every day? :p

We bought the car just before a 6,500 mile 15 day vacation through Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. However, I average a little over 30,000 miles a year without trips like that.

Holy cow!!! I thought I drove a lot! I am at 12,000 miles at 7 months, and I got my car with 7 miles.

Wow...so any idea what happened? My guess is some sort of race gone wrong. In downtown Dallas though...not the smartest idea

I don't think there was anyway that was a race. the light before that intersection only has one lane, maybe he got some speed but I doubt that too. There is no debris field, no shattered glass only the air bags due to the roll over. The body looked good and no deformation of the cabin or the roof. Really looks like a low speed hit and maybe the silver 8th hit him in the right spot to tip it over.
