Good move but stick with Honda. Toyotas are soul-less rental fleet appliances :)
Ha hilarious. My gf has a corolla I will say for a cvt not bad. Out of 15 civic and 15 corolla it was a little more responsive nut that's the 9th generation hoping 10th is no comparison which everything is pointing to that.

I had a '93 Civic hatch Si. I remember it had a too light clutch with narrow engagement that made starting from stop a little more attention intensive than I liked. It had really obnoxious torque steer--so bad that I took it back to the dealer to check the alignment. It was my first North American made Honda and had poor fit and finish and porous, rough glass. I bought it without air-conditioning to save weight; not the best move when you live in the high desert of southern California. Despite these shortcomings, I kept the car for 145k mi and 9 years and loved it. I had a lump in my throat when I traded it in.

My very first car was a 95 honda civic sedan DX. Got it used with 195k miles for $3000. Best first car ever... the A/C didn't work so we called it the hot box during the summer. Super reliable... 32mpg on average... no rust, no interior scuffs, great build quality, needed a new muffler. Drove it for almost 3 years before i leased my 07 coupe (which has been my favorite car thus far) and my mom continued to use the 95 civic for 3 more years before she sold it to the son of a coworker who didn't put oil in it and cracked the head, killing it... i was seriously choked up when i found out he killed my first car before it's time.

My 95 was not a fast car by any means, but man was it fun to drive... a slow car fun to drive fast. Handled well, hugged the road, never swayed or lacked grip. If honda could copy that kind of fun into the new civic with the new engines then the 10th gen will be the best civic ever.

I'd include the 9th gen in my statement :) Sounds like the Civic X is completely different in a good way. Lots of reviews confirm the 'epic' remake claim by Honda.

Fingers and toes crossed. I wanna see the coupe in all it's glory! Really hoping the SEMA show is the reveal, even if they don't use it for the Si variants, at least show us the coupe. I mean, with an expected on sale date for the coupe being December/January they need to hurry up and get on it. The Si still has some time since it's not expected until Spring.
Did I miss the December/January announcement? Last I heard it was "winter", which runs Dec 21 to Mar 20. We could be waiting until Detroit to see the coupe/Si.

Here's Honda's SEMA announcement:

The 2016 Civic coupe nor SI are not listed on the press release for SEMA. Here's hope they're keeping it a secret and surprise us.

If the coupe doesn't show up at SEMA or LA show then next likely schedule might be a coupe debut at the Detroit show in January, and the Si for the NY show in March then. I'm so anxious to see the coupe and Si but then I realize we've basically seen 90% of it already. I just want it confirmed to be this nice.

Honda to Show the new Ridgeline Desert Race Truck Concept, 4 HR-V Tuner Projects , a Refreshed 2016 CR-Z and more at 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas Nov 3-6th. Wonder what that could mean sedan Si reveal.

That is soooo nice. If priced right it would dominate and they would have to create way more then they ever produced.

Hell yea and the best part is that we've seen in the patent drawings and the spy pics that the coupe will pretty much retain the concept's design except for the crazy bumpers and high spoiler.

I don't need no high spoiler so sounds perfect ha. Man I am excited. Trying to get my money straight. I know this is probably not on hondas cards but the 2.4 from accord 184 hp 184 lb torque lightly turbo to 220 hp and torque regular gas would be the best engine do it honda. ha I have never had to put premium gas in a car and have a hard time justify paying for premium. right now no biggie but when gas is 4 dollars a gallon again 4.80 for premium seemingly kills me or people who use premium is it not really as bad as I am thinking?

I'd love to see it retain the exhaust tip too but that's not gonna happen. I just hope we even get exhaust tips showing on the coupe and they're not just tucked and hidden like on the sedan.
