Nice find!

So IAT2 is post intercooler, correct?

Actually, IAT is post and IAT2 is pre. Don’t ask why LOL:what::p

What I’ve gathered from monitoring these two temps is that our cars definitely suffer from heat soak. Time for an intercooler upgrade!

Weird naming convention!

IIRC correctly, Torque can show you timing advance to tell whether or not the car is pulling timing which could be useful to see how heat soak effects it. I still question if the sample rate would be fast enough for any real meaningful data. I also think just the visual gauges will be much less helpful than doing actual logging with Torque. I imagine logging data and choosing things like IAT temps, timing advance, throttle position and rpm may paint a more complete picture.

Hey, I have a question. It has to be A to A USB? I just realize that I don't have a windows laptop. Only a windows tablet with no USB (only micro usb) you think it will work?

Whoa, wait, WHAT? I have had the Android Torque Pro for years and am just reading this thread (I know it's not that old). Can't wait to set it up later today but you have it showing on your car's screen. Didn't know you could do this as well. ?????

Has to be a WiFi dongle (not Bluetooth), and AFAIK it doesn't work on the 2018's at all (though I could be wrong about that).

I previously used an ELM327 adapter that plugged into the USB port, that I connected to it through bluetooth. It went bad and I ordered a new one that I have now, that uses Wifi to connect to it. It is an ELM327 as well. So I presume this is what you would call a 'Wifi Dongle'? o_O I'm a little slow so bare with me.

Either way I will be checking into this within the next few hours.

Edit: Downloading this XDA LABS application. It seems I'd need this to work with Torque Pro to see it on the car's screen, like the pic in the earlier post.

Just an fyi. I unplugged the temperature probe on the pipe directly before the Throttle body and IAT 12 is the one that went to -40F .

IAT 12 must be post IC

I need to bump this because I can't get it working. I've set a custom PID with the parameters listed for IAT and it just constamtly reads 113 °F. I also tried using the C-40 equation for IAT2, same thing. See screenshots.

Anyone know what the PID for MAF air flow rate is? 0x16 does not work for me...

hm awesome find that 0167 gives IAT1 and IAT2. I am dumping OBD data from my Hatchback ST and PID 0160 says that 0167 is not even supported

The problem ist that your fk8 haven`t but our EU model has the extra sesor unter the oil pan.. thats the reason you cant find the PID because its not there... On my EU fk8 i can read the oil temp with a scan tool like snapon solus ultra.
