Hey @gtman , just wanted to know does your ultra racing sticker come off? ( the silver one)
I haven't tried taking it off. If I remember correctly it's more of a thin aluminum plaque isn't it?

Sticker issue aside, have you tried the bar out? You really should notice more stability in fast slalom type lane changes. The front end should also feel more solid over speed bumps and such.

Yeah I have, it’s pretty solid. Happy that I came across your thread :D btw have you switch out your rear sway bar yet? Been wanting to do that to.

I want to so bad but with my bad back I can't and still haven't found an installer. A local Honda dealer wanted $155 to install the Si bar which I thought was way high.

I had the Ultra-Racing front strut bar for 3 month its a great strut bar keeping the front more stable through hard cornering. As some stated, you'll notice it on a fast lane change and any quick twisty through canyons. This combo fits well with a stiffer bigger rear sway bar.

I own LX, so 2.0 engine, First I got 3 piece from civic pro, the difference between NO bar and ProCivic bar was just huge, very noticeable, tight front and better cornering... unfortunately it was rubbing against the engine cover and pushing the whole engine down... After that I got UR bar and difference honestly was terrible... it just didn't feel as good as ProCivic bar.. which is weird... I sold it to my friend, he loves it and I'll probably get another one after I get my Si :)

KYRGYZ, I originally bought the Sirimoto and found it to be a bit lacking both in construction and quality. Odd that you found the solid UR bar to be crap. That's a first.

I hope the one piece UR lives up to the great reviews I been hearing about. It just came in today and I'll be installing it in a bit.

Andddddd a big difference for me. I thought it might be a placebo effect so I took the bar off and really concentrated on how the car handles and then I reinstalled the bar. No more wobble for me. Usually I get wobbling from quick lane changes, and steering input felt a little "lazy." With the bar on wobble is essentially eliminated and steering is a lot more "crisp." Best of all it put a damn smile on my face.

^ That's the thing... a lot of people don't understand about a good one piece bar. People will say it's just bling because they really don't get what it does. No, it doesn't turn your car into a corner carver or eliminate body roll. That's why you upgrade the rear sway. But a strut bar is really effective in everyday driving. You get much less of that weebly wobbly feeling the non Si cars have in stock form. Much better and much more solid quick lane changes. Even the steering tends to feel better. IMO it's an under appreciated mod.

Just got my bar in the other day (FedEx gave it to the neighbors smh) and I'm torn between ground install vs lift install...would having it not lifted throw off the camber after the install or would that happen either way? Anybody have to adjust theirs afterwards? :dunno:

Edit: got the Ultra brace

I’ve installed solid one piece bars on my cars the past 15 years. I've always done them on level ground and they’ve been fine. The only bar I've seen mention lift install is the Tanabe.

If you want to put the bar on with the wheels off the ground I guess you can. Just make sure you torque the bolts tight when your wheels are on the ground.
