vincent@27won, new to the Si community and modding in general. What would you recommend as a first modification to ever do. All cars I owned prior to this one, there was never a market for modification. Fairly handy guy but not a huge amount of tools in garage yet.

I don't even own an SI but I will say the FIRST mod you should do is KTuner. Probably the most value for money your gonna get. It's really easy to do and it should come with instructions. If you get the v1.2 you just need a laptop and you connect it to the OBD2 port in your car to flash the tune. The V2 lets you flash tunes without a laptop, but costs more. Just keep in mind as a rule of thumb that tunes are generally extremely effective on turbocharged cars like the SI because all they have to do is turn up the boost to get sizeable power gains and make the car a beast. Then second, before you add any more power you could get better tires/wheel setup and couple that with some coilovers, which makes huge difference as well. The SI has a lot of aftermarket support so you should find it fairly easy to do these things.

Hands down best modification you can do is a ECU Tune. Either Hondata or KTuner you should do research on making the decision. The ECU will change this car to a different animal. The amount of boost, torque, throttle response, and many other tuning settings will help this car become a better car.

First of hello and welcome Jason, thanks for reaching out.

Now there are a lot of things I can suggest and sale you but that is not my intention. The first and foremost mod that I suggest is a track day. That's right a track day, not parts. Go the to the track, drive the car, learn it, see what it likes what it doesn't improve yourself as a better driver first and then you will know exactly what you need to purchase to create a car that is tailored to you. No one is going to drive your car like you and you should build it to what suits you. So my first mod is to put her to work. I guarantee after just one track day or local autocross you will have a much better idea of what you want to do with the car. That is just my two cents.

I hope this helps.
