Hey all, new guy from south DFW here. Didn't see a subforum for introductions so I figured I'd start here. Looking to buy a 2018 Civic Si Sedan in the next month or two. Not only will this be my first Honda, it will be my first non-4x4 vehicle as well as my first MT daily driver. So it's a whole new world to me. I've been very active in the Toyota offroading scene over the last 10 years and just looking to switch things up for a while. Been spending my time reading through threads on purchasing. Seems theres some good deals to be had out there. I've only talked to one dealership so far. If anyone has any recommendations for dealerships/salesmen to talk to, I'm all ears. It seems some are getting out the door for less than sticker price. Is that a thing in this area? I have numbers in mind I'd like to stick to but I'm not real familiar with the market in this particular area. Thanks all!

When i was shopping around the best OTD quote i got was from Honda Ft Worth, no one was willing to match them. Good luck

I ended up buying my car from David McDavid in Frisco. Had a good experience with my salesperson, Hailey Singleton. She was new so a guy helped her out. I can't remember his name. I liked the salesperson but the sales managers there were jerks and I refused to work with them. I only would talk to my salesperson. Because of what I was looking for, there were only 3 cars available in May that I would consider: the one in Frisco, one in San Marcos, and one in Houston. While the Houston dealer beat them all by $40, it wasn't worth it to me to drive to Houston to save $40. :) The following is a list of most of the Honda Dealers in North Texas. Not sure why I didn't keep track of the ones out of the area I found.

Good luck in finding a good deal. As a side note, I ended up paying $22,260 plus TT&L in May. They only had the car on the lot for roughly a week.

The reason I had a hard time finding a car is because I was very specific with what I wanted. Had to be a red Si sedan. Aren't too many of those around. Lots of black, white, and gray which I would not even consider. I even originally talked to a dealer in Colorado about one they had at that time.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll look into both of those dealerships mentioned. I'm wanting a white Si sedan so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Just not looking to pay 24,900 before TTL which is what I see the internet prices at. If I can keep the OTD price under 25,000 I'll be okay with that as long as I can get the car bought before the .9% financing deal is over. That being said, to me, the negotiations are the best part of buying a vehicle. So if I have to fight it out for a while to get a good deal, it wont hurt my feelings!

David McDavid in Irving is a TrueCar partner so if you cant find other deals you should at least get truecar price which I think is currently 22,600 +TTL Fees etc.

Go to Honda of Fort Worth. Ask for Frank Perry and tell him Luis, the guy who bought the grey Type R sent you. He sold me my SI and would later end up selling me my Type R he’s a really good guy and he went above and beyond for me to be able to get my Type R. They were asking for between 42k and 43k and this man went to thier regional manager completely skipping over everyone and was able to get it down to 38k for me which to me was amazing. The Type R was still over MSRP but he did the best that he could with a really stiff finance and management department. Definitely go talk to Frank Perry and again tell him Luis Rivera sent you.

I'll take note of that. I have a deal working for the brother of my buddy to buy my GX470. If he can get financing, the deal should be done in the next couple weeks. If not, itll be a month or so until I can get serious about selling it. As soon as I sell it, I'll be in the market for an Si. Like I said, I have an idea of where I want my amount financed to be so I can take advantage of the .9% going on right now. But I'd have to get down to about $24.5k out the door. From what I've seen, I dont know how easy that will be in this area. Luckily I have a second vehicle to drive between selling my daily and buying the Civic so I wont be in too big of a hurry.

It's a silver 2005 sport model with KDSS and no navigation. If you know much about them, you know the KDSS is hard to find without navigation and it's a bit of a unicorn. It's got King remote resi coilovers up front with the dampening adjusters as well as Camburg upper control arms. Rear has King remote resi shocks with adjusters as well. Converted the rear to coil springs instead of the stock air bag system using MetalTech4x4 conversion kit and Dobinson Offroad heavy rate progressive coils. Also has a Hefty Fabworks aluminum engine skid and a set of uninstalled Hefty Fabworks sliders. Put a set of 4Runner TRD Pro wheels on it as well with 265/70/17 BFG KO2s.

If anyone is looking for a tint job and/or wrap job, I'd recommend Acme tint solution! I've got my car tinted there for a really good price. Ask for Mike Ates and tell them that Nam sent you so you can get some discount on the tint job. PM me for his contact numbers.
PS: we have a social club for Honda owners in the DFW area on FB. We host monthly meetings as well. Look for us on FB as DFW Civic Social Club.

You should ask him if he can do chrome deletes for a flat rate on the door arches. I bet a bunch of DFW ppl want this.

Got my GX sold! Meeting the buyer at the credit union tomorrow at 3:00pm to finalize the paperwork and giv ehim the vehicle. Started the negotiation part of buying the Civic today. Seems like it's going to be a long process to get the price where I wanna be. But I'm not budging. May be next week, may be months. Either way, I'll get it for what I want to pay.

Just stay patient and hold out until you've got them down where you want them (as long as what you want it reasonable).
