sounds like RACE ONLY system...if a lot stiffer than stock with Ebiach (15% stiffer).
To me, that means un-usable for the street! My jaw and teeth will crack in a few days?
No not at all. I simply didn't know what to expect with the coilover upgrade. If you talk to the HMA race team or USR, they will say this is soft compared to what they're running. They run dedicated track setups. HKS created a kit more so for entry level track use with street use in mind.

Thanks for sharing. Couple questions;

- assuming you gained some comfort w/ smaller wheels/thicker tires @ R Mode vs stock wheel/tire; is your testing @medium settings way harsher? On a scale to 10(10 being 100% track and not very bearable on the street), how would you rate the harshness. I never been in a Focus RS, but would you say it's similar at this test setting? I'm just trying to gauge exactly how it feels for your test setup.
I would rate the stiffness of OEM (w/eibach spring and rear sway) - 4/10.
HKS Coilover on Medium damper setting - 6.5/10

It's got room to be stiffer when cranking up the adjustment knob.

- Not understanding the "drivable limit, high/low" what's the max drop and does it come pre-set at 1.0" drop? I, personally, don't want to lower it at all. Maybe 1/2" drop if any.
To my understanding, "Drivable limit" is what HKS recommends your damper settings overall should be. They included height and damper stiffness to obtain the best performance of their kit.

So with that said, you can easily lower to 1" and be in the "preferred performance" range.

Car went to Eibach today, super excited about that. My buddy DJ rode with me in his STi.

I'm having my roof wrapped as well and wasn't sure how far back to go - looks great with all the fin and vortex generators wrapped. Championship White looks so much better with the black roof.

I think having the 2 vortex generator left white would be neat. Like rabbit ears lol

You the best Jonny!! IMY Sunshine.

On the real, does the front come with camber kit adjustment?

The HKS Hipermax coilovers come with camber plates. Stock struts have a bit of adjustment as well (-1.9 max).
I'm currently set at -3.5 up front.

Volk Racing CE28N 18x9.5 +33 with 265/35 Yokohama AD08R (this setup required rear fender trimming since I'm lowered).
Could you show the rear fender area to show what was trimmed? Thanks.

Yes of course! behind the plastic flare there is a section of the body that flares out, it is a seam welded arch. It's sole purpose is to brace the plastic fender flare. This metal arch is cut after the seam, to not mess with the quarter panel warping.

Work performed by AWDFITTED in Ontario, CA. I believe I was one of the first few who dared to do anything like this. But it turned out well with no issues!

Does that allow the rear over fender to be functional now? How much clearance did it give you?

Rear over fender is attached via the existing top mounting locations and has not flown off with several track days and highway driving. It doesn't look like much clearance was added but tires were rubbing on that metal flare with -2.5 degrees of camber with 18x9.5 +33 and 265/35 AD08R tires.

Nice! I had always wondered about making it functional but too scared to cut into it. Car looks great by the way.

Hey Jonathan! Romy from Socal CTR here.

So that's how you did it huh? I'm still too scared to do this to my R. Lol!

Johnny,
My name Anthony Ortiz, and I'm a new CTR owner and relatively new car scene member. First off, I love your videos, and can't wait to see your next upgrades so thanks for sharing. While I now live in Ohio, I'm a SoCal native from San Pedro. I am "again" new to the car scene but I am learning. I am starting with simple mods first (or at least what I think are simple mods) and I am ordering the Seibon Carbon fiber hood (HD17HDCVR-TS), the one on your Blue FK8. I am ordering it from JHPUSA.com. Now that I have it on order I am being told by friends in my car club there are issues concerning water leaking into the intake and onto the turbo. They know about them via "hear-say" and are unable to show me any details about the issues or how to avoid them. Water on the turbo seems weird as water can get on it from splashin on a raining day (but again, noob). Also the JHP and Seibon website say I am supposed to pin the hood and mod the springs but give no more detail than that. I am simply unable to find details on this concerning this particular hood. While I am reaching out to both companies and local friends, I am hoping to learn from your experience as you have done them already and I hope on making this a flawless integration.

Thanks
