I have a 2016 Honda Civic with the Honda Sensing, and thinking about trying the Comma Ai's level 2 autonomous feature.
It entails buying their dash cam, and 'panda' and a girafe in order to tap in to Honda's system..Anyone else try this system out? If so..what did you think of it?
Thanks Dana

... why?

Genuinely serious question. I have no idea why autonomous driving is a thing. I’d never feel comfortable letting my car do the driving - especially these current systems

I can't imagine a supplemental system adding significant changes to the current level of capabilities. Perhaps if there was a way to override the steering input requirement. That would be nice.

I personally like it. Right now it works good enough but it's not perfect. The stop and go works great most of the time except sometimes it brakes for the car in the next lane for some reason. Lane recognition is good on highway but the torque is not enough for a wide turn.
What bugs me is driving while tire especially on the highway and in traffic. The stop and go feature is helpful in that case. I'm also into the technology scene so it's like a fun toy to me. Worse comes to worse I can turn the device back into a cellphone which I need anyways.

PS: I don't believe it works on the hatch yet only sedan and maybe coupe with sensing.

If none of you have any interest in semi-automation, then why did you pay an extra $ 1000.00 for it? Sorry maybe none of you have any interest in this kind of technology, but it will be the way of the future

My civic came with Honda Sensing and it works great. I doubt third party add ons are going to make it any better or more autonomous.

Actually, it does..for one, it will give you 6 minutes without touching the steering wheel Vs 30 seconds with stock, and two, will actually takes the curves on the highway much better, unlike stock that anything more than a 15 degree bend will sway into the next lane...
Check into it, it's run by George Hotz
