yes the v1.2 dongle or the v2 must remained plugged into the odb2 port for the data to transfer by bluetooth the the app on the deviceThis looks awesome! In order for this to work, does the Ktuner have to stay connected to the car?
Of course it will, any electronic device will, but it does go to deep sleep. Will leaving it plugged in drain the battery while the car is off or does the ktuner have an off switch to prevent this?
Not at all, we're well below recommended current draw for a vehicle accessory on the V1.2s. If you're leaving it for a week I'd recommend unplugging it.Is the v1.2 dongle going to have a noticeable drain on the battery in deep sleep? If my car sits for 12-14hrs without being ran am I going to come back to a dead car because I left the dongle plugged in?
I can’t find the app on the fire tablet? I search tunerview but it does not show up. How are you running it?
I have read recently that you can no longer sideload apk files onto the Kindle. I would be interested to know if someone has done this recently.you need the google play store on your fire.
Do you have pics?I used a regular 6foot usb to micro usb with this adapter and this mount. I mounted the tablet to the left of the steering wheel on the air vent and used a few zip-ties to keep it from jiggling around

If you change the head unit back to "device" from host Apple CarPlay should function again. So a bunch of you with '16 and '17 models have installed the TunerView Lite app on the headunit. I have an '18 and installed it along with Honda Hack Pro in hopes that the connectivity issues get resolved. However, I discovered that you have to bluetooth connect the headunit to the KTuner and then you loose Apple CarPlay functionality which I use all of the time. So then I saw that many of you are using tablets to display TunerView. Nothing wrong with that but they are big and take up a lot of space. I have an 8" tablet I could use but really didn't want to mount it to the dash permanently.
So I decided to use an unused phone and place it in the little cubby under the headunit in front of the gear shift. I can take it in and out as needed and the mount is not permanent. Works for me so I thought I would share some pics of my setup. I can easily switch views to get an easy monitor of what I want.
I'll take a look at that tonight and see if I can figure it out. Thanks for the info.If you change the head unit back to "device" from host Apple CarPlay should function again.
