About a month ago I got the NSX wheels with Michelin PS4S 255/35/ZR 19 tires, and had my local tire shop do the install, swapping out my all-season winter setup. I have had the same shop do winter-summer swaps on my cars for the past four years with no issues. But yesterday I was cleaning the wheels and noticed that the locking nut on one of my front wheels was gone, and the locking nut on the other side front was really loose. Got out my torque wrench and found that most of the lugs needed tightening, both front and back.

I checked my receipt from the shop, and they specified tightening the nuts to 94 ft lbs of torque, which is the factory spec according to the owners manual. Has anybody had a similar experience with the CTR? I ordered a replacement locking nut and put one of the regular nuts on till it comes in, but now I'm a little freaked out about the nuts coming loose when I'm driving.

Lugs should be re-torqued on new wheels after the first 50-100 miles.

Thanks. I have heard that before but never did it and never had one come loose, until now. I will check again when I get my replacement locking nut but hopefully this will take care of the issue.

Right, but are the holes for the NSX compatible with the OEM lugs? I can't seem to find a close-up photo to compare them.

It was actually post #94 I was looking for.

The Civic Type r lug nuts are a ball seat which is the same as the nsx wheel bolt which also has a ball seat. They match up.
Center caps: Ctrmofo can chime in. I believe he purchased CRV centercaps. Of course the CTR centercaps do fit if you are ok with the color.
So, yeah, I would assume he just needs to re-torque. I couldn't think of the word "seat" for whatever reason. I've met plenty of guys who have swapped wheels and used OEM lugs without realizing that the seat for their new wheels is tapered and a ball seat won't work for them. That's why I asked,

The lug nuts fit the NSX wheels. I have re-torqued everything and will check them again over the weekend. Thanks to all who chimed in.

I've had some 19" Work Emotions CR2P on my R for over six months with Gorilla lugs and locks. Just the other day, I went to wash it and noticed one of my locks is missing. I chocked it off to me forgetting to torque it but now I'm not so sure that's the case since someone else had the same issue. I usually torque them to 94 ft. lb.

Were the rest of your lugs tight, or did they need to be re-torqued? Mine definitely needed to be tightened all the way around. I am going to be checking them for the next 2-3 weeks to make sure this isn't a recurring issue.

I didn't think to check the rest of them, but I will when I get home today.
