Thank you so that means when we disengage the traction control by simply pushing the button, it remains partially activated?
Correct. And i think it’s stupid. You should not have to follow a set of instructions to turn it off completely. So idiotic lol. That’s my one gripe with this car. I hate electronic brakes and shit. I miss the old handle and one button turn offs.

The other car I lined up with, in the previous post, was some nice guy with a Mercedes 230. I also took a run against my friend's 2014 Challenger R/T. In the 1/4 mile he was less than a second faster, but between the end line and 'brake now checkers' he easily pulls away.

After rolling over a curb (knocking my alignment out) and a little road rash under the car, I decided to take it to the track again tonight. Still stock, but after a fresh alignment and transmission fluid change. I immediately noticed the gears were smoother, particularly into second gear. It looks like the reliable baseline is ~14.6@94 stock...preparing to order a ktuner.

1/4 Time: 14.578
MPH: 94.65
60 ft: 2.198
R/T: 0.273

Note the left car was a mad-modified mid 90's 300z, he nearly lost his back end when he hit the brakes.

great time, once again!
Is this track considered as fast or optimistic compare to the others track? I’m curious to see how others stock vehicles such as a GTI, WRX perform on this track.

Hmm, just seeing this one, haven't been back since Feb, but have done alot to the car since then, have slips from November and Feb, will throw pics up but best all stock in Feb was 14.59, after I can see the pic's will do the actual format you guys want:)

Alright, back in November, first time driving the car hard and was at 1200 miles:

2017 Civic Si Sedan, still factory---no mods (VSA off, but not Completely no pedal dance, sport-mode on, A/C off) Shit stock tires
1/4 Time: 14.746
MPH: 95.31
60 ft: 2.254
R/T: 0.284

Then in Feburary, had driven the car alot and mileage I don't recall but around 16k IIRC.

2017 Civic Si Sedan, modded stock airbox, window welded motor mount (VSA disabled, sport-mode on, A/C off)Shit stock tires
1/4 Time: 14.597
MPH: 95.25
60 ft: 2.067
R/T: 0.139

Really nice. What rpm did you launch?
I tend to launch at about 3000rpm since I'm trying to avoid wheel hop. It runs a bit faster when I 'let it shake a bit' around 3200rpm...but it's far less satisfying than just leaping off the line. This run was [email protected], just passing time as I wait for the next KTuner special. I forgot to turn on sport mode, but VSA was disabled.

Ok, since the weather is changing, tracks across the country are opening up. I thought it would be nice to have an "Official" 1/4 mile thread regarding your day at your local drag-strip.

Please use this format when posting: (example)

CAR: 2018 Si Sedan
MODS: PRL Cobra Intake, Hondata +9 psi, Cat Delete
TRACK: Medford Dragstrip , Medford Oregon 1350ft
1/4m Time: 14.31
MPH: 98.5
60ft: 1.9
R/T: .278

Can add pic of slip for extra credit.

Be Safe & Happy Driving!

That's an insane 60ft time. On stock tires? You have a timeslip?

Terrible 60 ft... so-so 1/4 mile with a 116 mph trap? Yep... that's a 300zx running more boost.

Back when my old 02 wrx was at 297awhp with a slipping clutch I ran a 14.1@103. Now with 450awhp it runs 11's. (11.6@117) Stock ej205 with EFR 7163.

I've got a Z that would have something north of 400 hp (never dynoed). Z32s suspension was designed to not have the 'squat' S130s and Z31s had. They either bog or burn out of the line without a *lot* of practice, and at higher power levels, tend to burn out post spool in 1st and 2nd... making for a lot of excitement but it's not terribly effective in putting power down (good tires help of course).

They are usually not very good drag cars. They are good cars at holding speed, taking corners on good tires and reaching some pretty wild speeds on straights. Most drag races I see without it's suspension reworked tend to go like this one... burn or bog on the line... fight for traction until 3rd... then *go*. In tbe winter with my meh tires and overwhelmed-in-the-summer intercoolers, I've even gotten some wheelspin post-spool in 3rd. Wheel spin at interstate speeds looks cool to look at on a video but is disconcerting behind the wheel.

...especially considering they're a 25+ year old car based on a 30+ year old design.

450 whp, given it's AWD is a pretty powerful setup. It'd handily wreck my old Z car under 100 mph. Not sure about 100-180 mph though. :D But, yeah, on a drag strip it'd be no contest between even a mildly modded WRX and a 300zx with virtually any power level on it's stock suspension. Your 297/bad clutch run is the equal of a good run on a stock 300zx. 400 hp variants are supposed to do about a 13-flat with stock turbos with boost just raised. Past that though... times go down slow because of the power isn't put down well off the line, but the trap keeps going up.

Terrible drag car. Terribly fun.

I sold the wrx to my younger brother. I still get seat time. Used to kill rwd cars off the line while street racing (in errrrrr mexico of course) all the time. People around the area definitely knew my car thanks to an enormous white decal in the back window of the boxer pistons on a crankshaft. I sold it to him with 110k on it and told him it had a leaky valve that needed replacing. Crazy bastard continued racing and dragging it for over a year before replacing the valve. Then he did additional p&p, converted from MAF to MAP, and upgraded the turbo. He recently spun a bearing with around 200k on the stock block. But he already had a spare ej205 waiting and it is back on the road. He is determined to claim the title for fastest stock block bugeye.

I miss that car but my wife and kids are where my time and money goes now. Mostly....
